New York : Miguel Maysonet ran for 77 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 carries as the Hartford Sentinels upended the New York Phantoms 27-13 in the first ever A.S.F.L game before an announced crowd of 22,177 at Michie Stadium at West Point.
Sentinel quarterback Colt Brennan completed 14 of 20 passes for 145 yards and 1 touchdown. Running back Charles Scott also added a score on the ground. Tight end Jo Don Duncan caught 6 passes for 61 yards and a score.
New York was led by quarterback Case Keenum, who completed 23 of 37 passes for 265 yards and 1 interception. LaRon Council ran for 46 yards on 8 carries and 1 touchdown. SJ Green hauled in 6 passes for 98 yards in the loss.

Los Angeles : Taylor Potts completed 18 of 28 passes for 189 yards and an interception , running backs James Rodgers and Joseph Randle each added a rushing touchdown as the Los Angeles Pharoahs rolled over the Utah Mammoths 31-14 before just over 19,000 at the L.A. Coliseum late Friday night. Cody Hoffman had 4 catches for 64 yards in the win, welcoming Spring Football back to the City of Angels.
For the Mammoths, back up quarterback Stephen Garcia stepped in as starting quarterback Ryan Alpine left the game early with an injury. Garcia completed 19 of 36 passes for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions. Ryan Torian had 81 yards rushing on 17 carries and Marion Grice had 7 catches for 56 yards in the loss for the Mammoths.
