Clausen Named Offensive Player of the Year!


CLAUSEN A.S.F.L. OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR!

The A.S.F.L. announced earlier today that Carolina Swarm quarterback Jimmy Clausen has been named A.S.F.L. Offensive Player of the Year.

Clausen finished the regular season with a 68.0 completion percentage, completing 338 of 497 passes for 4224 yards and 28 touchdowns , with 8 interceptions. He was sacked 13 times. He had a 106.2 passer rating.

Clausen led the Swarm to a 12-6 record and Atlantic Division championship. Sunday August 16th he will lead the Eastern Conference Champion Swarm against the Sacramento Crusaders in the inaugural A.S.F.L. Championship Game.

Friday afternoon Clausen's teammate Alterraun Verner was named Defensive Player of the Year. Verner recorded 65 tackles, 1 sack, 7 deflections, 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries. Verner also had 5 interceptions to lead the team.
