WEEK FIFTEEN: FRIDAY NIGHT RESULT
(8-5-1) Jacksonville- 21 (7-7) Virginia- 0
Jacksonville, Fla: Ryan Lindley threw for 276 yards and 1 touchdown with 1 interception, in leading the Jacksonville Bulls to a 21-0 shut out victory over the Virginia Tritons Friday night.
Lindley completed 16 of 23 passes on the night. Beanie Wells punched in for 2 touchdowns while rushing for 79 yards on 18 carries. Cole Beasley had four receptions for 100 yards, including a 57 yard touchdown reception. Conner Vernon had 5 catches for 87 yards in the win for the Bulls.
" We played well. Our defense really stepped up and did a fine job as did our special teams. Offensively we sputtered at times, but that could be contributed to their (Virginia) defense. We are gonna work a lot of that out this week after we look at the film." said Bulls head coach Pete Carmichael Jr. following the game.
Dan LeFevour completed 17 of 30 passes for 154 yards and 1 interception with 2 sacks to lead the Tritons.
