Columbus, Ohio; AJ McCarron threw for 423 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for another as the Columbus Explorers defeated the Michigan Stags 38-31 at Mapfre Stadium Friday night.
McCarron finished completing 26 of 38 passes and rushing for 42 yards on 6 carries.
Jeremy Hill ran 15 times for 38 yards and a score. Penny Hart caught 6 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown. Adarius Bowman had 4 catches for 60 yards and a touchdown. Ben Gedeon had a 79 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in the win.
Justin Hollins recorded a forced fumble and 10 tackles, Ranthony Texada had an interception and 4 tackles. Micah Hanneman had a forced fumble and 5 tackles for the Columbus defense.
Jonathan Jennings completed 20 of 31 passes for 304 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception . Alex Collins ran for two scores, while rushing for 72 yards on 9 carries . Keenan Brown had 5 catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. Marcus Lucas had a 31 yard touchdown reception for Michigan.
Marquel Lee had a forced fumble and 10 tackles. Duke Shelley had a forced fumble and 9 tackles to lead the Michigan defense.
