Week Twenty: Saturday Results

(6-12) Pittsburgh- 13   (11-6-1) New York- 10

West Point, NY;  Seth Doege completed 13 of 21 passes for 168 yards with 1 interception, plus ran for a touchdown as the Pittsburgh Maulers defeated the New York Phantoms 13-10 before 32,000 at Michie stadium Saturday afternoon.

Danny Woodhead ran 19 times for 103 yards. Mark Mariani had 3 receptions for 64 yards and Donnie Avery caught 4 passes for 53 yards as the Maulers finish the season at 6-12.

Case Keenum threw for 142 yards and 1 touchdown while completing 15 of 21 passes. LaRon Council ran for 56 yards on 9 carries, plus had 4 catches for 37 yards. Garrett Hoskins had a touchdown reception as the Phantoms fall to 11-6-1 on the season.

The Phantoms must now hope for a Baltimore loss Sunday to claim the Northeastern Division title. A Baltimore win will give Baltimore the title and make New York the wildcard.

" Well, it is out of our hands now, all we can do is sit and watch what fate brings us Sunday." said a dejected New York head coach Dick Koetter.
