BULLS CLIP EXPLORERS 24-17

Columbus, OH;  Rakeem Cato completed 15 of 25 passes for 175 yards and 1 touchdown as the Omaha Bulls improve to 1-1 on the year with a 24-17 win over the Columbus Explorers, before a sold out Mapfre Stadium crowd Friday night.

Trent Richardson ran 14 times for 48 yards and a score, plus caught 6 passes for 30 yards. Emmanuel Arceneaux had 2 catches for 45 yards and a score.  Alfred Blue also ran for a score while rushing for 31 yards on 17 carries in the win for the Bulls. Steven Daniels led the Bull defense with 10 tackles. Dorin Grant had 1 interception.

Columbus was led by quarterback Terrelle Pryor who threw for 182 yards and 1 touchdown with 1 interception. He was sacked 4 times. Running back Eric Breitenstein ran for 52 yards and a score on 12 carries . Jared Abbrederis caught 3 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown for the Explorers drop to 0-2 on the year.

Phillip Steward led the Explorers defense 8 tackles.

Columbus travels to San Antonio next week to play the Six-Shooters.

Omaha entertains the Dallas Outlaws next week at TD Ameritrade Park.
