WEEK FOUR SATURDAY WRAP-UP IN THE AFFA

(3-1) New Orleans - 34    ( 2-2) Michigan - 21

New Orleans, La;  Colby Cameron threw for one touchdown and Jerome Messum ran for three more as the New Orleans Nightmare improved to 3-1 with a 34-21 victory over the Michigan Panthers Saturday afternoon.

Cameron finished completing 32 of 40 passes for 402 yards.  Jerome Messum ran 12 times for 34 yards and caught 8 passes for 65 yards. Cody Hoffman caught 6 passes for 112 yards and Rannell Hall had 6 catches for 86 yards and a score in the win.

Michigan was led by quarterback Cody Kessler who completed 23 of 40 passes for 256 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was intercepted once and sacked once. Paul Perkins ran 8 times for 62 yards. Albert Wilson had 5 receptions for 63 yards and a score. Joseph Fauria had 2 catches for 78 yards including a 59 yard touchdown reception. Isaac Blake also contributed with a touchdown reception.

Antwione Williams led the Nightmare defense with 8 tackles.

Keenan Robinson had 12 tackles to lead the Panthers defense as they fall to 2-2.

(1-3) Columbus - 40       ( 0-4) Carolina -10

Columbus, Ohio;  In a battle of winless teams, one had to win. Terrell Pryor threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another as the Columbus Explorers pummeled the Carolina Swarm 40- 10 before a sold out crowd at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus Saturday.

Pryor completed only 8 of 14 passes for 159 yards and was sacked once. He also ran 10 times for 66 yards in the win as the Explorers improved to 1-3 on the year.

Eric Brietenstein ran 15 times for 129 yards and a score. Brandon Wether added a 32 yard touchdown run. Connor Vernon had 4 catches for 48 yards and a score. While Austin Franklin had a 75 yard touchdown reception for the Explorers.

Brady Quinn completed 20 of 38 passes for 195 yards with 1 interception. He was sacked 4 times. Zack Zenner ran 8 times for 66 yards and a score, plus 5 receptions for 25 yards. Zach Bauman had 3 catches for 59 yards in the loss for the Swarm who fall to 0-4.

( 2-2) Washington - 41     ( 1-3) Memphis -31

Memphis, Tenn;  Mike Bercovici completed 32 of 52 passes for 388 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead the Washington Wave to their second consecutive win with a 41-31 victory over the Memphis Knights before 27,000 at the Liberty Bowl Saturday.

Chris Hairston ran for a touchdown. JJ Nelson had 6 catches for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns. Chad Owens caught 11 passes for 120 yards and a score and Nick Boyle added 6 catches for 75 yards and a score as the Wave move to 2 - 2.

Ricky Ray led Memphis throwing for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns while completing 20 of 40 passes with 2 interceptions. Cameron Artis -Payne ran 15 times for 53 yards. Tim Hightower ran for 2 touchdowns while rushing 9 times for 20 yards . AC Leonard had 5 receptions for 52 yards in the loss as Memphis falls to 1-3.

( 3-1) Oklahoma - 29       ( 2-2) Omaha - 10

Norman, Ok;  Matt Johnson tossed 3 touchdown passes as the Oklahoma Roughnecks defeated the Omaha Bulls  29-10 before 25,000 plus at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Johnson completed 30 of 42 passes for 321 yards as the Roughnecks move to 3-1.

Rajon Neal ran 15 times for 72 yards. Chandler Jones caught 7 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Harper had 8 receptions for 74 yards and a score, while Chris Gregg hauled in 6 catches for 79 yards and a score in the win.

Rakeem Cato completed 16 of 35 passes for 191 yards with 1 interception and sacked 3 times. Trent Richardson still struggles rushing 7 times for 33 yards. Benny Fowler had 6 receptions for 79 yards. Bryce Petty came in late and completed 2 of 3 passes for 6 yards including a one yard touchdown pass to Denard Robinson.

Joplo Bartu recorded 6 tackles, 1 sack, 1 pass deflection, 1 hurry and a forced fumble for the Roughnecks defense. Eric Murray recorded 9 tackles, 1 pass deflection and a forced fumble to lead the defense.

Gerod Holliday led the Bulls defense with 8 tackles.

(3-1) New York - 30       ( 1-3 ) Sacramento - 27

Sacramento, Calif;  Johnny Manziel had his best game as a pro as he threw for 343 yards and 4 touchdowns in leading the New York Emporers to a 30-27 victory over the Sacramento Crusaders Saturday night at Hughes Stadium.

Manziel completed 25 of 38 passes with 2 interceptions and sacked twice. Matt Walter ran for 84 yards on 12 carries.  Aaron Burbridge had 6 catches for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns. Nick O'Leary and Geronimo Allen also had a touchdown receptions in the win as the Emporers improved to 3-1.

Erik Meyer led Sacramento, throwing for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns, while completing 20 of 35 passes.  He threw 1 interception and sacked twice. Vic Ballard ran for 2 touchdowns while rushing for 28 yards on 6 carries. Kenny Still and Austin Hill each had a touchdown reception in the loss as Sacramento feel to 1-3.

Late Game:
