FORGE AND SHARKS DOMINATE!

(2-0) Pittsburgh- 34    (1-1) Philadelphia-6

Philadelphia, PA;  Alex Carder completed 21 of 37 passes for 375 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Pittsburgh Forge hammered the Philadelphia Bulldogs 34-6 before 25,000 plus at Talen Energy Stadium  Saturday afternoon.

Tyler Gaffney ran 11 times for only 24 yards, but scored once. Alec Lemon and Eric Rogers each had 103 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jordan Williams and Jeremy Lang also had a touchdown reception in the win for the Forge who moves to 2-0.

The Bulldogs were led by quarterback Drew Willy who completed 25 of 40 passes for 177 yards and I touchdown, with one interception and sacked twice.
Running back John Crockett ran for 57 yards on 13 carries, plus 57 receiving yards on 4 catches. Fred Stamps caught 4 passes for 43 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs who fell to 1-1 on the year.

(1-1) Memphis- 20     (1-1) Birmingham-17

Memphis, TN;  A near capacity crowd packed the Liberty Bowl and we're given plenty to cheer for, as the Memphis Knights knocked off the Birmingham Predators 20-17.

Ricky Ray completed 18 of 28 passes for 156 yards and sacked twice. Cameron Artist Payne ran for 85 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Tim Hightower also ran for a score. AC Leonard caught 6 passes for 73 yards and Austin Collie had 7 catches for 58 yards. Shayne Graham went 2 for 2 on field goals for the Knights who improve to 1-1.

Birmingham falls to 1-1.

(2-0) Louisville- 27     (0-2) Orlando- 15

Orlando, FL;  Ray Rice had his second 100 yard game Saturday, rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries as the Louisville Thouroghbreds defeated the Orlando Vipers 27-15. Ben Malena also had a touchdown run.

Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell completed 15 of 24 passes for 200 yards.  Ryan Spadola caught 3 passes for 95 yards in the win as the Knights move to 1-1.

Tim Tebow led Orlando, throwing for one touchdown and running for another as the Vipers fall to 0-2. Tebow completed 21 of 33 passes for 179 yards and 1 touchdown, with one sack. Tebow also ran 15 times for 76 yards and a score.

(2-0) Miami- 47      (0-2) Carolina- 13

Miami, FL;  Zach Collaros threw for 248 yards and 4 touchdowns, with one interception and sacked once as the Miami Sharks  (2-0) crushed the Carolina Swarm 47-13 at FIU Stadium Saturday to remain unbeaten.

David Cobb ran 20 times for 91 yards and a score. Ezell Ruffin continues to be Collaros's favorite target hauling in 6 catches for 120 yards and 2 scores. Jeff Heuerman had 6 receptions for 74 yards and two scores in the win.

Carolina quarterback Brady Quinn led the Swarm attack, throwing for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions while completing 19 of 32 passes. Zach Zenner ran ten times for 61 yards. Dustin Keller and Tony Lippett each had a touchdown reception in the loss. The Swarm fall to (0-2).

(1-1) Sacramento- 20       (1-1) Portland- 16

Sacramento, CA;  Terron Ward ran for 2 scores as the Sacramento Crusaders defeated the Portland Pioneers 20-16 Saturday night at Hughes Stadium.
Ward ran for 88 yards on 16 carries. Quarterback Erik Meyer completed 11 of 17 passes for 160 yards and was sacked once. Kenny Still had three receptions for 74 yards.

AJ McCarron led Portland completing 24 of 43 passes for 254 yards. He was sacked 4 times. Miguel Masonett ran for 105 yards and 1 score on 21 carries. Titus Davis caught 6 passes for 80 yards as the Pioneers fall to  (1-1).
