Storrs, Connecticut: Mike White threw for 422 yards and 4 touchdowns to power the Hartford Sentinels to a 30 -21 victory over the Columbus Aviators Friday night at Rentschler Stadium in Storrs.
White completed 24 of 37 passes with 1 interception and was sacked 3 times. Devonta Freeman ran 10 times for 52 yards, plus caught 7 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. Charles Johnson caught 7 passes for 152 yards. Jamal Robinson had 5 receptions for 49 yards and a score. Antwan Goodley had 4 catches for 108 yards and 2 scores as the Sentinels improved to 2-1.
Jamar Chaney led the defense with 14 tackles, 1 pass deflection and 2 stuffs. Nick DeLuca recorded 3 sacks to go along with 5 tackles, a pass deflection, a stuff and a hurry
Columbus quarterback Chuckie Keeton completed 13 of 27 passes for 128 yards with 1 interception and sacked 3 times.
Eric Breitenstein ran for 58 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 carries. Jared Abbreviate had 5 receptions for 35 yards and Brandon Wegher caught 2 passes for 51 yards including a 46 yard reception. Philip Stewart led the defense with 8 tackles and 2 stuffs. Dean Lowry had 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 stuff, 2 hurries and a forced fumble as the Aviators fall to 0-2.
