Chicago, Illinois: Alfred Morris ran for three scores as the Chicago Stags run to 5-0 with a 36-17 victory over the Philadelphia Freedom Friday night at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Morris finished with 102 yards on 28 carries. Brandon Doughty threw for 405 yards and a score while completing 27 of 31 passing. Willie Snead had 8 receptions for 128 yards. Roger Lewis caught 9 passes for 101 yards. Justin Hardy caught 3 passes for 94 yards, including a 70 yard touchdown reception. Nick Pertuit converted on 3 of 4 field goals. Leshaun Sims had 7 tackles and a pass deflection to lead the defense. Jelani Jenkins and Donte Paige each recorded a sack in the win.
Drew Willy completed 18 of 40 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown with 2 sacks to lead Philadelphia. Fred Stamps had a touchdown reception, catching 3 passes for 61 yards. Rod Streater had 5 receptions for 54 yards and Duke Williams caught 3 passes for 63 yards. Alex Tanney came in late and threw a 26 yard touchdown pass to Khari Lee. Joshua Kalu powers the Freedom defense with 10 tackles, 1 pass deflection and a stuff as the Freedom fall to 1-3.
