WEEK TWO: A.F.F.A SUNDAY RESULTS!
Chicago Stags ( 2-0) - 39 Columbus Aviators ( 0-2 )- 7
Chicago, Illinois; Marcus Murphy returned a first quarter punt 78 yards for a touchdown as the Chicago Stags rolled to a 39-7 victory over the Columbus Aviators at Soldier Field Sunday afternoon.
Brandon Doughty completed 19 of 27 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown. Alfred Morris rushed for 82 yards . Josh Robinson ran for a score, rushing for 54 yards on 14 carries. Roger Lewis had 7 receptions for 81 yards and Willie Snead caught 6 passes for 65 yards and a score. Nick Pertuit converted on 4 of 4 field goal attempts as the Stags move to 2-0 on the season.
Kris Frost led the defense, recording 8 tackles, 1 pass deflection and a hurry. Jelani Jenkins had 6 tackles and a stuff and Kyle Emanuel recorded 4 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 hurries in the win. Lorenzo Doss had a 17 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Aviators quarterback Chuckie Keeton completed 22 of 33 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown with 4 sacks. Keeton also led the Aviators in rushing, gaining 53 yards on 8 carries. James Jones caught 5 passes for 68 yards and a score as the Aviators slip to 0-2 on the season.
Tevin Mitchell recorded 8 tackles and a pass deflection to lead the Aviators defense.
