Louisville, Kentucky: Memphis quarterback Ricky Ray showed he still has plenty of gas in the tank, throwing for 277 yards and 3 touchdowns on 20 of 36 passing in leading the Memphis HoundDogs to a 42-35 victory over previously unbeaten Louisville Thoroughbreds Friday night at PaPa John's Stadium.
Cameron Artis Payne ran for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns on 26 carries. AC Leonard had 8 receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. Neal Sterling caught 5 passes for 80 yards and a score. L'Damian Washington had 3 catches for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Harlan Miller recorded 10 tackles. Alani Fua and Ethan Westbrook each had 7 tackles. Armani Watts and Jacquain Williams each had a sack to lead the HoundDogs defense. Duke Ihenacho had a 33 yard interception return.
Louisville was led by Bo Levi Mitchell, who completed 22 of 33 passing for 369 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was sacked twice and had 3 Interceptions.
Zac Stacy ran 10 times for 25 yards and a score, plus a touchdown reception. Ray Rice was held to 17 yards on only 8 carries and a score. Josh Stewart caught 8 passes for 150 yards and a score. Nathan Slaughter had 5 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown . Shilo Keo had 17 tackles to lead the defense.
