A.F.F.A Sunday (3-10-19 ) Results


( 1-2 ) Philadelphia Freedom- 31  ( 2-1 ) Los Angeles Pharoahs- 17

Philadelphia ,Pennsylvania:  Drew Willy completed 24 of 40 passes for 218 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Philadelphia Freedom earned their first victory of the season with a 31-17 win over the Los Angeles Pharoahs Sunday at Talen Energy Stadium.

Kory Sheets ran 15 times for 92 yards, plus caught passes for 52 yards and 2 scores.  Brandon Whitaker ran 13 times for 34 yards and had 8 receptions for 62 yards .Duke Williams had 5 catches for 45 yards and a score. Fred Stamps had a touchdown reception, catching 2 passes for 22 yards.

Danny Trevathan led the Freedom defense with 9 tackles, a pass deflection, a stuff,  a hurry and a forced fumble. John Simon had 5 tackles, 1 sack and a hurry.

Jeff Driskel powered the Pharoahs offense, completing 13 of 30 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown. He threw one interception and was sacked 4 times.

Jay Ajayi rushed for 88 yards on 13 carries, plus caught 5 passes for 53 yards.  Cayleb Jones caught 4 passes for 132 yards, including a 82 yard touchdown reception.  Travis Long recorded 8 tackles, a stuff and a hurry. Solomon Elimenin had 7 tackles, a pass deflection and 2 stuffs as the Pharoahs fall to 2-1.

Atlanta, Georgia:  Alex Carder threw for 234 yards and 4 touchdowns with 1 sack, while completing 14 of 24 passing as the Pittsburgh Ironmen dominated the Georgia Generals 34-3 Sunday afternoon at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta.

Eric Rogers caught 6 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. KD Cannon had 3 catches for 25 yards and 2 touchdowns. Luke Wilson had 2 catches for 59 yards and a score. Swayze Waters converted on 2 of 2 field goals.

Mike Hull recorded 10 tackles, 1 sack, 1 hurry and a forced fumble. Jordan Poyer had 7 tackles, 1 pass deflection, a stuff and a forced fumble. Kavon Frazier had 6 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble as the Ironmen moved to 2-1.

Colin Kaepernick completed 17 of 31 passes for 150 yards with 2 interceptions and sacked 5 times. He also led the Generals in rushing with 96 yards on 7 carries. Tyler Ervin ran 16 times for 52 yards. Rueben Randle caught 5 passes for 52 yards and Tevaun Smith had 4 catches for 51 yards as the Generals drop their third straight game.

Darius Jackson ran 13 times for 65 yards a 3 touchdowns. Manziel ran 12 times for 76 yards.  Geronimo Allen had 10 catches for 143 yards. Chris Milo converted on 1 of 2 field goals with a long of 45.

Richard Marshall, Terrell Davis and Micah Hyde each had 6 tackles. Damaso Munez had a 51 yard interception return for a touchdown for the Empire defense.

Nick Shimonek completed 16 of 28 passing for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also ran 7 times for 36 yards.  Andre Caldwell caught 4 passes for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns. Luke Tasker had a 62 yard touchdown catch. Blair Walsh converted on 2 of 2 field goal attempts with a long of 33.

Rasheed Williams ran 21 times for 47 yards. Nic Grigsby ran for a score, rushing for 33 yards on 5 carries, plus had 8 catches for 53 yards.  Jakeem Grant caught 3 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. Rashard Higgins had a 30 yard touchdown reception. Tarik Cohen had a 22 yard touchdown reception.

Josey Jewell recorded 7 tackles, a sack, a stuff and a hurry. Taylor Reed had 6 tackles, a sack, 2 stuffs and a forced fumble in the win.

Vad Lee led the Oakland attack, throwing for 297 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception and 3 sacks. Lee led the Renegades in rushing, gaining 44 yards on 5 carries.
Antonio Andrews ran for a score, while rushing for 8 yards on 8 carries. He also caught 6 passes for 74 yards.  Kasen Williams had a touchdown reception, catching 4 passes for 84 yards.  Keyarris Garrett had 3 receptions for 98 yards including a 80 yard touchdown catch.

Norman, Oklahoma:  Colby Cameron threw for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns with a sack, as the Arkansas Diamond Miners got their first win with a 35-27 victory over the Oklahoma Gunslingers at Gaylord Memorial Stadium in Norman Sunday night.

The Diamond Miners also found their running game as Jordan Canzeri ran 14 times for 94 yards, and Brandon Rutley ran for 88 yards on 14 carries and a score. Cody Hoffman had 10 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. Brian Burnham caught 4 passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Rannell Hall had 3 receptions for 33 yards and a score. Lorenzo Long added a rushing touchdown, rushing for 20 yards on 3 carries.

Antwione Williams recorded 9 tackles and Justin Hickman had 7 tackles and 2 stuffs.  Charles Tapper had 2 sacks.  Alex Okafor and Almondo Sewell also had a sack apiece in the win for the Diamond Miners.

Gunslingers quarterback Matt Johnson completed 18 of 25 passes for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns with 4 sacks.

Cyrus Gray ran 10 times, but was held to only 31 yards. Chandler Jones caught 11 passes for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns. Josh Harper had a touchdown reception, catching 2 passes for 67 yards. Rene Parade converted on 2 of 2 field goal attempts.

Omaha, Nebraska:  Trent Richardson ran for 3 scores while rushing for 115 yards on 23 carries as the Omaha Bulls stun the Sacramento Crusaders 34-23 at TD Ameritrade Park Sunday night.

Rakeem Cato completed 24 of 34 passes for 239 yards and 2 touchdowns. Emanuel Arceneaux had 6 receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown. Danario Alexander had a 19 yard touchdown reception in the win for the Bulls. Rigoberto Sanchez converted on 2 of 3 field goal attempts. Aarion Penton had 8 tackles to lead the defense.  Quinton Diales, Stacy McGee and Prince Shembo each recorded a sack.

Trevone Boykin led Sacramento with both his arm and his legs. Boykin threw for 312 yards and 2 touchdowns with 3 sacks and an interception while completing 17 of 32 passing. He also ran 16 times for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Austin Hill caught 8 passes for 178 yards and 2 scores. Marquez North caught 7 passes for 141 yards. Jason Trusnik had 10 tackles and Brian Rolle had 8 tackles to lead the defense.
