A.F.F.A WEEK FOURTEEN SATURDAY RESULTS
( 10-4 ) Pittsburgh Ironmen- 28 ( 4-9 ) Philadelphia Freedom- 24
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Alex Carder threw for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns with 1 interception and sacked once as the Pittsburgh Ironmen moved to 10-4 with a 28-24 win over the Philadelphia Freedom Saturday at Heinz Field.
Tyler Gaffney ran 11 times for 49 yards and a touchdown. Alec Lemon had 10 receptions for 158 yards. Luke Wilson caught 7 passes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. Eric Rogers had 3 catches for 37 yards and a touchdown. Mike Edwards and Nick Marshall each recorded 8 tackles. Simoni Lawrence had 7 tackles, 1 sack, a hurry and a forced fumble. Jamari Lattimore recorded 3 tackles, 2 sacks and a hurry in the win for the Ironmen.
Drew Willy completed 24 of 38 passing for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception and sacked once, plus ran for a score. Brandon Whitaker had 42 yards on 12 carries. Ty Hilton had 5 receptions for 68 yards and a score. Duke Williams caught 4 passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. Kwon Alexander had 8 tackles. Tom Wort, Terell Floyd, DJ White and Phillip Hunt each recorded a sack for the Freedom.
( 6-8 ) Michigan Panthers- 33 ( 7-7 ) Omaha Bulls- 17
Omaha, Nebraska: Cody Kessler completed 21 of 34 passes for 283 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Michigan Panthers thumped the Omaha Bulls 33-17 Saturday at TD Ameritrade Park.
Montee Ball ran 11 times for 41 yards. Paul Perkins rushed for 31 yards on 10 carries, plus 3 catches for 31 yards and a score. Albert Wilson caught 5 passes for 70 yards. Pharoh Cooper had 5 receptions for 61 yards. Darrin Pete had 3 catches for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns. Keenan Robinson had 9 tackles and a stuff. Calvin Munson recorded 5 tackles, 1 sack and a stuff. Marcell Harris, Carlos Watkins and Will Compton each recorded a sack for the Panthers defense.
Rakeem Cato completed 20 of 27 passes for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions and sacked 4 times. Emmanuel Arceneaux had 5 catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. Mike Thomas caught 4 passes for 74 yards. Bralon Addison also had a 29 yard touchdown reception. Aarion Penton had 10 tackles and a forced fumble. Prince Shembo and Steven Daniels each recorded a sack as the Bulls playoff hopes took a hit.
( 10-3 ) Birmingham Beast- 27 ( 7-6 ) Houston Roughnecks- 10
Birmingham, Alabama: Trevor Harris completed 21 of 30 for 239 yards and Nick Grisby ran for three touchdowns while rushing for 45 yards on 10 carries as the Birmingham Beast defeated the Houston Roughnecks 27-10 Saturday at Legion Field in Birmingham Saturday. Blake Sims led Houston passing for 138 yards and a touchdown on 12 of 27 passing.
( 8-5 ) Virginia Tritons- 31 ( 4-9 ) Arkansas Diamond Miners- 17
Norfolk, Virginia: Mike Bercovici threw 3 touchdown passes to Dontella Luckett as the Virginia Tritons pushed closer to the franchise's first playoff appearance with a 31-17 victory over the Arkansas Diamond Miners. Bercovici finished completing 28 of 42 passes for 395 yards and 3 touchdowns. Dontella Luckett had 11 receptions for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns. Colby Cameron led a slumping Arkansas squad completing 24 of 49 passes for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception. He was sacked once.
( 8-5 ) Oklahoma Gunslingers- 43 ( 8-6 ) Dallas Outlaws- 38
Dallas, Texas: Matt Johnson completed 24 of 31 passes for 335 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Oklahoma Gunslingers toppled the Dallas Outlaws 43-38 before another sold out crowd at Gerald J. Ford Stadium Saturday. Rajon Neal rushed for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns on 15 carries. Chandler Jones had 8 receptions for 164 yards and a score. Josh Harper caught 9 passes for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Dallas was led by quarterback Mike Reilly who completed 26 of 44 passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns. He was sacked twice. Ben Tate ran for two scores while rushing for 77 yards on 11 carries.
( 4-9 ) Oakland Renegades- 42 ( 7-6 ) Los Angeles Pharoahs- 37
Oakland, California: Antonio Andrews ran 17 times for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Oakland Renegades damaged Los Angeles Pharoahs playoff hopes with a 42-37 victory in Oakland Saturday night. Vad Lee completed 18 of 27 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown. Lee also ran 12 times for 77 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win for the Renegades ( 4-9 ).
Pharoahs quarterback Jeff Driskel threw for 428 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception on 23 of 34 passing. He also ran for a touchdown. Jay Ajayi ran 13 times for 74 yards as the Pharoahs dropped to 7-6.
