A.F.F.A WEEK FOURTEEN SUNDAY RESULTS



( 12-2 ) Chicago Stags- 41  ( 10-4 ) Albuquerque Aztecs- 14

Chicago, Illinois:  Derel Walker caught 7 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown as the Chicago Stags ( 12-2 ) crushed the Albuquerque Aztecs 41-14 in what many believe to be a preview of the Western Conference Championship. Brandon Doughty completed 22 of 37 passes for 298 yards and 3 touchdowns with 2 interceptions and sacked 3 times. Alfred Morris ran 23 times for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Stags.

Travis Lulay completed 15 of 27 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked twice. Tim Cornett had 95 yards rushing on 16 carries. Tommy Shuler had 8 receptions for 88 yards and a score for the Aztecs.

( 6-8 ) New York Empire- 35  ( 6-8 ) Hartford Sentinels- 23

Storrs, Connecticut:  Ray Graham exploaded for 145 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns on 27 carries to power the New York Empire past the Hartford Sentinels 35-23 in a Atlantic Division clash at Rentschler Stadium in Storrs Sunday.  John Manziel completed 14 of 25 passes for 201 yards and sacked once. JaCorey Shepherd had a 28 yard interception return for a touchdown as the Empire improved to ( 6-8 ).

Mike White completed 27 of 47 passes for 337 yards and a touchdown, but was intercepted 3 times. Charles Johnson had 7 receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown as Hartford falls to ( 6-8 ).

( 7-7 ) Columbus Aviators- 20  ( 2-12 ) St. Louis Scouts- 8

St. Louis, Missouri:  Chuckie Keeton threw for 240 yards and ran 10 times for 40 yards as the Columbus Aviators kept their playoff hopes alive, defeating the St. Louis Scouts 20-8 at the Dome at Americas Center Sunday afternoon.

St. Louis quarterback Robert Griffin III completed 18 of 31 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown, with 1 interception and sacked twice. Andy Jones had 5 receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown for the Scouts.

( 6-8 ) Georgia Generals- 24  ( 8-6 ) Miami Sharks- 23

Atlanta, Georgia:  Tyler Ervin ran 20 times for 93 yards and two touchdowns as the Georgia Generals nip the Miami Sharks 24-23 before 22,000 at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta Sunday. Colin Kaepernick threw for 113 yards on 13 of 20 passing. Bruce Johnson led the defense with 8 tackles.

David Cobb carried Miami rushing for 116 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Zach Collaros completed 7 of 13 passes for 84 yards and a interception before being pulled for Brad Kaaya.  Kaaya completed 11 of 20 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked once. Tajae Sharp had 9 receptions for 102 yards.

With Miami's loss, the Louisville Thoroughbreds clinched the Southeastern Division crown.

( 5-9 ) Orlando Vipers- 34  ( 5-9 ) Carolina Breakers- 28

Raleigh, N.C:  Matt Barkley threw for 286 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 of 34 passing as the Orlando Vipers topped the Carolina Breakers 34-28 at Carter Finley Stadium Sunday.  Isaiah Burse had 10 receptions for 149 yards. Cam Worthy caught 5 passes for 78 yards and a score for the Vipers.

Zach Zenner rumbled for 136 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries to lead Carolina. Nic Shimonek completed 14 of 33 passes for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception. He was sacked three times.

( 7-7 ) San Antonio Cimarrons- 13  ( 6-8 ) Memphis HoundDogs- 10

San Antonio, Texas:  Ka'imi Fairbairn kicked the game winning field goal with forty seconds remaining to lift the San Antonio Cimarrons to their fourth consecutive win with a 13-10 victory over the Memphis HoundDogs at the Alamo Dome Sunday night.

Tajh Boyd completed 15 of 23 passes for 283 yards and a touchdown despite being sacked 7 times. He threw 1 interception. Marshaun Coprich ran 13 times for 65 yards. Jamaal Jones caught 6 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown as the Cimarrons stayed in the playoff chase.

Ricky Ray threw for 144 yards on 18 of 36 passing with 1 interception and sacked twice.  Zach Line ran 18 times for 105 yards. Marcus Johnson had 8 receptions for 52 yards.  Jeremy Maclin caught 4 passes for 62 yards. Harlan Miller recorded 12 tackles and Elandon Roberts had 2 sacks in the loss for Memphis.

( 10-4 ) Sacramento Crusaders- 24  ( 3-10 ) Portland Pioneers- 19

Portland, Oregon:  Trevone Boykin tossed two touchdown passes to Austin Hill as the Sacramento Crusaders defeated the Portland Pioneers 24-19 at Providence Park Sunday night all but clinching a playoff berth for the Crusaders.

Boykin threw for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception and sacked twice. He also ran 17 times for 73 yards. Byron Marsh had a sixty eight yard touchdown run. Austin Hill caught 7 passes for 194 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 50 yard touchdown catch and run.

The Pioneers were led by quarterback Bryan Bennett who completed 15 of 31 passes for 183 yards, plus ran 15 times for 51 yards. Ahmad Bradshaw and Jhurell Pressley both had touchdown runs in the loss.
