A.F.F.A WEEK SIX SATURDAY RESULTS!


( 4-2 ) Pittsburgh - 14    ( 3-3 ) Washington - 12

Washington, DC;  Alex Carder threw for two touchdowns as the Pittsburgh Forge topped the Washington Wave 14-12 at RFK Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Carder completed 16 of 31 passes for 182 yards and was sacked 5 times. He also ran 10 times for 23 yards.  Clarence Denmark caught 6 passes for 56 yards and a score. Eric Rodgers also had a touchdown reception as the Forge improved to 4-2.

Mike Bercovici completed 21 of 33 passes for 235 yards and 1 touchdown, with 1 interception and was sacked 4 times. Tommy Taggart ran 19 times for 67 yards. Chad Owens had 9 receptions for 79 yards and a score. Donatella Luckett contributed with 7 receptions for 103 yards in the loss as the Wave's 3 game winning streak came to an end.

Devon Kennard recorded 6 tackles and 3 sacks to lead the Wave defense.

Jamari Lattimore recorded 2 sacks and 6 tackles for the Forge.

( 6-0 ) Louisville - 36    ( 3-3 ) Miami - 24

Louisville, Ky;  Ray Rice ran for 166 yards and 4 touchdowns on 30 carries to power the Louisville Thoroughbreds past the Miami Sharks 36-24 and remain unbeaten.

Rice also had 4 receptions for 40 yards. Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell completed 13 of 25 passes for 151 yards with 1 interception. Cameron Meredith had 4 receptions for 53 yards as the Thoroughbreds move to 6-0.

Zack Collaros threw for 261 yards and 3 touchdowns with 1 interception for the Sharks who lost their third straight.  David Cobb ran 19 times for 81 yards. Nick Toon caught 6 passes for 92 yards and a score. Jeff Heuerman and S.J. Green each had a touchdown reception as the Sharks fall to 3-3.

( 4-2 ) Oklahoma - 47     ( 2-4 ) Houston - 17

Norman, Ok;  Matt Johnson completed 26 of 40 passes for 352 yards and 2 touchdowns and sacked once as the Oklahoma Roughnecks pounded the Houston Wranglers 47-17.

Rajon Neal ran 13 times for 29 yards and a score. Chandler Jones had 8 receptions for 146 yards. Josh Harper caught 7 passes for 104 yards.  Chris Moore and Chris Gragg each had a touchdown reception in the win as the Roughnecks move to 4 - 2.

Kapri Bibbs ran for 114 yards and a score to lead the Wranglers. Vince Young  threw for 111 yards with one interception and sacked twice. Roddy White had 4 catches for 82 yards in the loss as the Wranglers fall to 2-4.

Mike Campanaro recorded a 79 yard punt return for a touchdown for the Roughnecks.

( 4-2 ) New Orleans - 34     ( 3-3 ) Birmingham - 13

Birmingham, Al;  Colby Cameron completed 18 of 31 passes for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns as the New Orleans Nightmare took down the Birmingham Predators 34-13 before 26,000 at Legion Field Saturday.

Jerome Messum ran 16 times for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Ty Hilton recorded 5 receptions for 61 yards and a score for the Nightmare  ( 4-2 )

Trevor Harris threw for 216 yards and a touchdown, with 4 interceptions and sacked once in leading the Predators.  Rasheed Williams rumbled for 104 yards on 12 carries. Jakeem Grant caught 10 passes for 115 yards. Paul McRoberts had a touchdown reception in the loss for the Predators  (3-3 )

( 5-1 ) Los Angeles - 17     ( 1-5 ) Sacramento - 10

Sacramento, Calif;  Jeff Driskell tossed 2 touchdowns while completing 25 of 48 passes as the Los Angeles Pharaohs ( 5-1 ) slipped by the Sacramento Crusaders 17-10 Saturday night.

Jay Ajayi ran 20 times for 72 yards. Mario Alford caught 7 passes for 97 yards and a score. Cayleb Jones added 4 catches for 64 yards and a score in the win for the Pharaohs.

Eric Meyer completed 11 of 21 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked once.  Vic Ballard ran 13 times for 83 yards.  Marquez North had 4 catches for 76 yards and a score in the loss for the Crusaders ( 1-5 ).
