A.F.F.A SATURDAY RESULTS! 4-7-2018


Arkansas Rhinos  (4-3)- 27   Philadelphia Americans  (1-6)- 14

Little Rock, Arkansas;  Colby Cameron threw for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus ran for a score as the Arkansas Rhinos defeated the Philadelphia Americans 27-14 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock Saturday afternoon.

Cameron finished completing 22 of 32 passes. He ran 11 times for 20 yards.  Brandon Rutley ran 19 times for 129 yards, plus had a touchdown reception . Alex Bayer caught 7 passes for 74 yards and a score. Justin Manton went 2 for 2 on field goals. Dion Bailey led the defense with 7 tackles, and 2 passes defended. Alex Okafor had 5 tackles,  1 sack and a forced fumble.

Philadelphia was led by quarterback Drew Willy who completed 21 of 35 passes for 210 yards. He threw one interception and was sacked 3 times.  John Crockett ran 6 times for 63 yards and a score. Brandon Whitaker ran for a score while rushing for 16 yards on 6 carries. Fred Stamps had 4 receptions for 68 yards for the Americans.

Birmingham Barbarians  (2-5)- 31   Columbus Aviators (2-5)- 26

Columbus, Ohio;  Paul McRoberts had a 82 yard punt return for a touchdown to spark the Birmingham Barbarians to a 31-26 victory over the Columbus Aviators before a near capacity crowd at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus.

Trevor Harris threw for 182 yards and a touchdown while completing 17 of 24 passes. He threw one interception. Rex Burkhead rushed for 2 touchdowns while gaining 81 yards on 26 carries. Nic Grisby had 6 receptions for 57 yards. Casey Pierce had a touchdown reception, while catching 2 passes for 24 yards in the win.

Chuckie Keeton completed 17 of 27 passes for 254 yards and 3 touchdowns in his first start. He threw 2 interceptions and was sacked once. He also ran 9 times for 67 yards.

Joseph Randall ran 24 times for 121 yards. Austin Franklin had 3 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown. Jared Abbrederis and Mycole Pruitt also each had a touchdown reception in the loss. Jayrone Elliott led the defense with 10 tackles,  1 pass deflection,  1 stuff, 1 hurry and a interception.

Orlando Vipers  (3-4)- 41  Georgia Generals  (2-5)- 14

Orlando, Florida;  Isaiah Burse caught 7 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown as the Orlando Vipers crushed the Georgia Generals 41-14 at Brighthouse Networks Stadium in Orlando.

Jahad Thomas ran 26 times for 133 yards and a touchdown.  Kenny Hillard ran for 2 touchdowns while rushing for 33 yards on 8 carries for the Vipers.

Colin Kaepernick threw for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns, while completing 17 of 35 passes. He also ran 7 times for 54 yards. Danny Collins came in late and completed 4 of 10 passes for 54 yards. Jordan Williams had 3 catches for 88 yards and a score. Albert Wilson also had a touchdown reception for the Generals.

Carolina Breakers  (4-3)- 16   Portland Pioneers  (4-3)- 13

Portland, Oregon;  Shane Carden completed 22 of 24 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown to lead the Carolina Breakers to a 16-13 win over the Portland Pioneers at Providence Park Saturday. Blair Walsh connected on 3 of 3 field goal attempts.

Chicago Stags  (6-1)- 41   Utah Mammoths  (0-7)- 24

Salt Lake City,  Utah;  Brandon Doughty threw for 284 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Chicago Stags pummeled the winless Utah Mammoths 41-24 at Rice-Eccles Stadium Saturday evening.

Alfred Morris ran for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns on 20 carries. Roger Lewis had 5 receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown.  Willie Snead caught 8 passes for 102 yards and a score. Gator Hoskins also had a touchdown reception in the win.

Dak Prescott led the Mammoths, throwing for 317 yards and 3 touchdowns. Dominick Goodman caught 6 passes for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dontea Dye had 4 catches for 117 yards and a score.

Denver Miners  (3-4)- 20   Omaha Bulls  (1-6)- 6

Denver, Colorado;  Antonio Andrews ran for 2 touchdowns, while rushing for 215 yards on 25 carries as the Denver Miners run by the Omaha Bulls 20-6 before 28,200 at Mile High Saturday night.

Houston Wranglers  (6-1)- 36   Sacramento Crusaders  (5-2)- 30

Sacramento, California;  Blake Sims threw a 42 yard touchdown pass to Jason Avant to lift the Houston Wranglers to a 36-30 victory over the Sacramento Crusaders before a capacity crowd at Hughes Stadium Saturday night.
