WEEK SEVEN SUNDAY WRAP UP! SHARKS FALL!


New York Empire  (3-4)- 20   Virginia Tritons  (3-4)- 17

Norfolk, Virginia:  Dee Hart ran for 102 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries to lead the New York Empire to a 20-17 victory over the Virginia Tritons Sunday afternoon.

Johnny Manziel completed 14 of 22 passes for 133 yards.  Lamar Miller ran 18 times for 56 yards and a score. Aaron Burbridge also had a touchdown run , plus caught 6 passes for 79 yards. Justin King led the defense with 10 tackles, 1 pass deflection and 2 forced fumbles.

Virginia was led by Mike Bercovici who threw for 241 yards and a score.  Shock Linwood ran 11 times for 104 yards and a touchdown. Donovan Morgan had 6 receptions for 76 yards. Chad Owens caught 4 passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Louisville Thoroughbreds (6-1)- 35   Miami Sharks  (6-1)- 24

Miami, Florida;  Arguably the biggest rivalry wrote another chapter, as the Louisville Thoroughbreds handed the Miami Sharks their first loss of the season with a 35-24 victory before a sold out FIU stadium crowd.

Bo Levi Mitchell completed 20 of 31 passes for 204 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Louisville attack. Ray Rice ran for 2 touchdowns, while rushing for 87 yards on 15 carries.  Ryan Spadola caught 7 passes for 106 yards and a score. Josh Stewart had 3 receptions for 33 yards and a score. Lorenzo Jerome had a 88 yard kick return for a touchdown as the Thoroughbreds move to 6-1.

Miami's Zach Collaros threw for 319 yards and 2 touchdowns, while completing 26 of 43 passes. David Cobb ran 16 times for 79 yards and a score. Tajae Sharp had 10 receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown. Jeff Heuerman caught 5 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown as Miami falls to 6-1.

Oklahoma Roughnecks  (5-2)- 40   Hartford Sentinels (1-6)- 26

Norman, Oklahoma: Matt Johnson completed 18 of 31 passes for 266 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Oklahoma Roughnecks roughed up the Hartford Sentinels 40-26 before a large crowd at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Rajon Neal ran 16 times for 104 yards and a touchdown. Chandler Jones had 7 catches for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns. Josh Harper had a touchdown reception, catching 3 passes for 68 yards and a score. Terron Ward also had a touchdown run.

Connor Halliday led Hartford throwing for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns. Devonta Freeman had 66 yards on 17 carries, plus had 10 receptions for 54 yards and a score. Jamal Robinson 2 passes for 27 yards and a touchdown. Julian Edelman returned a punt for 98 yards and a touchdown.

St.Louis Scouts  (6-1)- 42  Michigan Panthers  (3-4)- 10

Detroit, Michigan:  The glass slipper hasn't fallen off the expansion St.Louis Scouts yet as they move to 6-1 and remain tied with Chicago for the Great Lakes Division lead with a 42 -10 shallacking of the Michigan Panthers at Ford Field Sunday evening.

Robert Griffin III threw for 224 yards and 3 touchdowns, while completing 14 of 19 passes to lead the Scouts

Cody Kessler completed 21 of 37 passes for 212 and a touchdown to lead the Panthers.

Memphis Hound Dogs  (5-2)- 31   Dallas Outlaws  (4-3)- 10

Dallas, Texas;  Ricky Ray completed 25 of 36 passes for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Memphis Hound Dogs took sole possession of first place in the Mid South Division and spoil Dallas debut of their new "Outlaws " brand with a 31-10 pounding of the Dallas Outlaws.

Mike Reilly led the Outlaws throwing for 268 yards and a touchdown, while completing 24 of 42 passes. Dallas falls to 4-3.

Memphis moves to 5-2.
