Week SIX SATURDAY RESULTS! 3-31-18
Carolina Breakers (3-3)- 30 New York Empire (2-4)- 20
Brooklyn, New York: Shane Carden threw for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns, while completing 15 of 27 passes to lead the Carolina Breakers to a 30-20 victory over the New York Empire before a capacity crowd at MCU Park in Brooklyn.
Joique Bell ran 11 times for 94 yards. Luke Tasker had 4 catches for 55 yards and a touchdown. Andre Caldwell caught 3 passes for 41 yards and a score. Kevin Riddick had a 33 yard interception return for a touchdown for the Breakers who improved to 3-3.
Lamar Miller led the Empire rushing for 2 scores, while amassing 93 yards on 11 carries.He also caught 4 passes for 30 yards. Dee Hart led all rushers with 110 yards on 18 carries for the Empire who dropped to 2-4.
Philadelphia Bulldogs (1-5)- 33 Hartford Sentinels (1-5)- 21
Stoors, Ct: Drew Willy completed 16 of 23 passes for 189 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Philadelphia Americans won their first game of the season with a 33-21 victory over the Hartford Sentinels Saturday afternoon.
John Crockett ran for 78 yards on 20 carries. Khari Lee caught 5 passes for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ty Hilton had 4 catches for 40 yards and a touchdown. Fred Stamps caught 5 passes for 59 yards. Mark Lewis connected on 2 of 2 field goals in the win.
Connor Halliday completed 25 of 38 passes for 243 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Sentinels. Devon Johnson ran 11 times for 74 yards. Jamal Robinson caught 5 passes for 62 yards and a score. Julian Edelman caught 5 passes for 46 yards and a score. Jordan Payton had 4 catches for 51 yards and a touchdown for the Sentinels.
Louisville Thoroughbreds (5-1)- 31 Orlando Vipers (2-4)- 16
Louisville, Kentucky: Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 262 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Louisville Thoroughbreds past the Orlando Vipers 31 -16 at Papa John's Cardinals Stadium Saturday.
Mitchell finished completing 17 of 28 passes with no interceptions. Ray Rice returned from injury and ran 25 times for 119 yards and a score. Ryan Spadola had 5 receptions for 89 yards and a score. Cameron Meredith had a touchdown reception, catching 2 passes for 38 yards. Reggie Jordan also had a 47 yard touchdown reception in the win. AJ Johnson led the defense with 11 tackles and a forced fumble.
RJ Archer completed 22 of 40 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown, with 1 interception to lead the Vipers. Alex Collins ran 10 times for 48 yards and a score. Isaiah Burse caught 10 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown for the Vipers.
Dallas Marshals (4-2)- 31 Birmingham Barbarians (1-5)- 17
Dallas, Texas: Mike Reilly completed 28 of 45 passes for 283 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Dallas Marshals defeated the Birmingham Barbarians 31-17 before a capacity crowd at Gerald J Ford Stadium in Dallas.
Akeem Hunt ran 10 times for 73 yards. Bud Sasser had 8 catches for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns. Wes Saxton caught 7 passes for 78 yards and a score. Justin Medlock went 3 for 3 on field goal attempts. Gerald Hayes led the Marshals defense with 6 tackles.
Rex Burkhead led the Barbarians, rushing for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns on 18 carries. Trevor Harris completed 14 of 26 passes for 134 yards with one interception. Tom Wort led the Barbarians defense with 13 tackles, 1 sack and a stuff.
Houston Wranglers (5-1)- 35 Omaha Bulls (1-5)-30
Houston, Texas: Jamison Crowder had a 73 yard touchdown run, plus caught 4 passes for 106 yards and 2 scores to lead the Wranglers past the Omaha Bulls 35-30 at TDECU Stadium in Houston Saturday.
Blake Sims completed 13 of 18 passes for 214 yards and 2 touchdowns, with 1 interception. Kapri Bibbs ran 18 times for 68 yards and a touchdown. Jeremiah Johnson ran for a score while rushing for 26 yards and a score in the win. Jared Norris led the defense with 13 tackles, 2 pass defended and one stuff.
The Bulls were lead by quarterback Rakeem Cato who completed 28 of 47 passes for 309 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Tra Carson ran 19 times for 86 yards and a score. Alfred Blue ran for a score while rushing for 25 yards on 6 carries. Emanuel Arceneaux caught 6 passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Da'Ron Brown had a touchdown reception, catching 3 passes for 37 yards. Gabe Martin led the Bulls defense with 9 tackles and a pass deflection.
St.Louis Scouts (5-1)- 30 Arkansas Rhinos (3-3)- 28
St.Louis, Missouri: Robert Griffin III threw for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns as the St.Louis Scouts defeated the Arkansas Rhinos 30-28 before a large crowd at the Dome in St.Louis.
RG3 completed 18 of 26 passes on the evening. Robbie Rouse was held to 54 yards on only 9 carries. Kenbrell Tompkins caught 3 passes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 85 yard touchdown reception. EJ Bibbs had 8 catches for 55 yards and a score. Nick Toon caught 5 passes for 53 yards in the win. Andy Phillips connected on 3 of 3 field goals. Steve Longa led the defense with 10 tackles , a stuff and 2 hurries.
Colby Cameron led the Rhinos, throwing for 286 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brandon Rutley ran 11 times for 60 yards and a touchdown. Jonathan Williams ran for a touchdown while rushing for 37 yards on 7 carries. Alex Bayer had 7 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown reception. Mike Davis had a touchdown reception as well in the loss for the Rhinos. Antwione Williams had 11 tackles, 1 stuff and a forced fumble to lead the defense.
Portland Pioneers ( 4-2)- 17 Albuquerque Aztecs (2-4)- 13
Albuquerque, New Mexico: Bryan Bennett connected with Jaydon Mickens for a 43 yard touchdown pass that lifted the Portland Pioneers to a 17-13 victory over the Albuquerque Aztecs at University Stadium in Albuquerque Saturday night.
Bennett threw for 125 yards and a touchdown, while completing 11 of 25 passes. He also ran for a touchdown while rushing for 27 yards on 8 carries. Wendell Smallwood ran 15 times for 86 yards. Jaydon Mickens finished with 3 catches for 59 yards and a touchdown.
Travis Lulay threw for 252 yards and a interception, while completing 25 of 40 passes. He was sacked 3 times. Tim Cornett ran for 89 yards and a score on 20 carries. Rashad Green had 10 catches for 97 yards for the Aztecs.
Miami Sharks (6-0 )- 20 Denver Miners (2-4)- 17
Miami, Florida: David Cobb ran for 138 yards and a touchdown as the Miami Sharks remain perfect with a 20-17 win over the Denver Miners at FIU Stadium Saturday night.
Zach Collaros completed 17 of 29 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown, with 1 interception. Ezell Ruffin had 7 catches for 112 yards. SJ Green had 5 receptions for 47 yards and a score as the Sharks move to 6-0 on the season.
Vad Lee completed 17 of 29 passes for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Miners. Antonio Andrews ran 11 times for 51 yards, plus caught 10 passes for 113 yards and a score. Hunter Sharp caught 5 passes for 45 yards and a score in the loss for the Miners.
LATE GAME:
Sacramento Crusaders (5-1)- 27 Utah Mammoths (0-6)- 13
Salt Lake City, Utah: The Sacramento Crusaders took sole possession of first place in the Pacific Division with a 27-13 victory over the winless Utah Mammoths Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake.
Trevone Boykin completed only 9 of 25 passes, but 2 were for touchdowns. He finished with 160 yards passing. He also ran for 75 yards on 12 carries. Stevan Ridley ran 19 times for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns. DeMarco Sam and Byron Marshall each had a touchdown reception. Tre McBride caught 4 passes for 70 yards in the win.
Utah quarterback Dak Prescott completed 22 of 41 passes for 239 yards and a touchdown to lead Utah. He threw one interception and sacked twice. Devontae Booker ran 14 times for 92 yards. Dominick Goodman caught 8 passes for 91 yards. Kennard Backman had a touchdown reception, catching 2 passes for 20 yards.
The Crusaders improved to 5-1. The Mammoths fall to 0-6
