Michigan Panthers (3-3)- 22 Columbus Aviators (2-4)- 7
Columbus, Ohio: Cody Kessler hit Albert Wilson on a 25 yard touchdown pass as the Michigan Panthers defeated the Columbus Aviators 22-7 before 27,000 at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus.
Kessler completed 21 of 32 passes for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was sacked 4 times. Albert Wilson had 4 catches for 67 yards and 1 touchdown. Malcolm Agnew ran 11 times for 37 yards, plus caught 3 passes for 15 yards and a score. Jason Oberkrom went 3 for 5 on field goals in the win. Ted Laurentus recorded 3 sacks.
Everett Golson led the Aviators, completing 14 of 28 passes for 155 yards. He threw 3 interceptions and was sacked 5 times. Joseph Randall rushed for 41 yards and a score on 11 carries. Jayrone Elliott led the defense with 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 stuff and a hurry.
Chicago Stags (5-1)- 44 Oklahoma Roughnecks (4-2)- 30
Chicago, Illinois: Brandon Doughty threw for 526 yards and 5 touchdowns as the Chicago Stags outgunned the Oklahoma Roughnecks 44-30 before 29,199 at Soldier Field.
Doughty completed 31 of 41 passes and threw 1 interception. Marcus Murphy ran for 48 yards and a score on 7 carries. Gator Hoskins had 9 receptions for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns. Roger Lewis caught 6 passes for 141 yards and 2 scores. Willie Snead caught 10 passes for 124 yards and a score for the Stags
Quarterback Matt Johnson completed 19 of 35 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown to lead Oklahoma. He was sacked 3 times. Rajon Neal led all rushers with 57 yards on 8 carries. He also 4 passes for 46 yards and a score. Dennis Johnson ran for a score while rushing for 13 yards and a score. Johnson also recorded a 85 yard kick return for a touchdown. Chandler Jones had 8 receptions for 143 yards.
Pittsburgh Ironmen (4-2)- 34 Los Angeles Pharaohs (3-3)- 28
Carson, Calif : Mike Edwards returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown, to spark the Pittsburgh Ironmen to a 34-28 victory over the Los Angeles Pharaohs at the Stub Hub Center in Carson Sunday night.
Alex Carder completed 24 of 37 passes for 278 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was sacked 3 times. Tyler Gaffney ran 12 times for 52 yards and a score. Jeremy Langford ran for a score, rushing for 21 yards on 3 carries. Eric Rogers caught 8 passes for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Ironmen.
Jeff Driskell threw for 245 yards and a touchdown, while completing 21 of 28 passing to lead the Pharaohs. Jay Ajayi ran for 115 yards on 17 carries. Eric Ward caught 5 passes for 85 yards and a score. Mario Alford had a 98 yard kick return for a touchdown. Caleb Sturgis went 2-4 on field goals.
San Antonio Mustangs (2-4)- 20 Virginia Tritons (3-3)- 17
San Antonio, Texas: Marshaun Coprich ran 21 times for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the San Antonio Mustangs to a 20-17 victory over the Virginia Tritons Sunday night.
Bryn Renner threw for 179 yards and was sacked twice. Jamaal Jones had 8 catches for 72 yards in the win.
Tritons quarterback Mike Bercovici completed 25 of 43 passes for 237 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was sacked twice. Donatella Luckett had a touchdown reception, catching 4 passes for 11 yards. Donovan Morgan caught 2 passes for 40 yards and a score for the Tritons.
