KAEPERNICK BENCHED!
Atlanta, Georgia: After Saturday's 41-16 road loss to the Omaha Bulls, which saw the Georgia Generals drop their sixth straight game and fall to 2-6. Generals head coach Chip Kelly has decided to make a quarterback change.
" Due to our recent struggles offensively. Case Keenum will be our starting quarterback this week against Orlando. We feel that a change is necessary . Colin ( Kaepernick) has been informed and will be ready to play if called upon. " said Kelly.
Kaepernick has completed just over 50% of his passes for 1097 yards. He has thrown 5 touchdowns and 1 interception in his 8 starts for the Generals who have fallen to 2-6 after a 2-0 start. Kaepernick has been pretty effective running the ball, rushing for 396 yards and 4 touchdowns on 55 carries however.
Keenum ( University of Houston) will be making his first AFFA start.
