A. F. F. A. FRIDAY NIGHT ( Week Fourteen)


( 7-7) Orlando - 38       ( 6-7)  Hartford - 16

Storrs, Connecticut:  Joey Isoefa ran for two touchdowns,  while rushing for 97 yards on 20 carries, plus threw for a score as the Orlando Vipers defeated the Hartford Sentinels 30-16 Friday night.

Tim Tebow completed 10 of 18 passes for 233 yards and was sacked once. Alex Collins ran for 78 yards on 12 carries and 2 scores. Isaiah Burse caught 6 passes for 149 yards. Ryan Otten had a touchdown reception while catching 3 passes for 66 yards as the Vipers move to 7-7 on the year.

Orlando got on the board first as Jared Roberts kicked a 28 yard field goal with 8: 33 remaining in the first period. The kick completed a 8 play, 70 yard drive. Hartford tied the score at 3 when Boris BeBe connected from 31 yards out with 15 seconds remaining in the quarter. Completing a 6 play 54 yard drive.

With 9: 40 remaining in the first half,  Joey Isoefa ran in from 8 yards out, completing a 10 play, 80 yard drive. The extra point was good and Orlando led 10-3.

Hartford answered with a 6 play 54 yard drive as Connor Halliday threw a 34 yard touchdown pass to Jamal Robinson with 5: 54 remaining in the half. The extra point was no good. Orlando led 10-9 at the half.

Orlando wasted little time in increasing their lead as Isoefa scored his second touchdown of the night, running for a 3 yard touchdown with 13: 13 remaining in the third. A Jared Roberts extra point made made the score Orlando 17-9.

With 8: 31 remaining as Joey Isoefa tossed a 4 yard touchdown pass to Ryan Often. A Jared Roberts extra point gave Orlando a 24-9 lead.

With 14: 52 remaining, Alex Collins ran in from 8 yards out. The extra point made the score Orlando 31-9.  Collins scored again with 8: 19 remaining, this time from 1 yard out. A Jared Roberts extra point pushed the Vipers lead to 38-9

With 1: 46 remaining, Austin Dodge came at relief for Connor Halliday and tossed a three yard touchdown pass to Nick Boyle. A Bebe extra point made it 38-16.

Connor Halliday led Hartford, throwing for 263 yards and a score. He completed 29 of 41 passes with 1 interception and was sacked twice. Jamal Robinson had 8 catches for 93 yards and a touchdown. Nick Boyle had a touchdown reception while catching 5 passes for 32 yards as Hartford drops to 6-7.

Montell Garnett led the Orlando defense with 8 tackles, 1 pass deflection and an interception ( 20 yards).
