Week Thirteen Saturday Results


( 7-6)  Pittsburgh - 37     ( 7-6)  Oklahoma - 34

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania:   Before a rauchous crowd of 34, 000 at Heinz Field Saturday,  Tyler Bray came in for an injured Alex Carder and threw for 402 yards and three touchdowns, while completing 32 of 55 passes as the Pittsburgh Forge upended the Oklahoma Roughnecks 37-34.

Tyler Gaffney ran 21 times for 80 yards and a score, plus a touchdown reception.  Eric Rogers caught 10 passes for 152 yards and 2 scores. Alec Lemon had 8 catches for 137 yards to lead the Forge ( 7-6).

Matt Johnson led the Roughnecks,  completing 21 of 35 passes for 308 yards and 3 touchdowns. Cryus Gray ran 6 times for 35 yards and a score. Josh Harper caught 7 passes for  180 yards and 2 touchdowns. Chris Gragg also ran for a touchdown.

( 10-3)  Utah - 20     ( 2-11)  Carolina - 15

Raleigh, N. C.:   Dak Prescott completed 23 of 33 passes for 248 yards and a touchdown as the Utah Mammoths move to 10-3 with a 20-15 victory over the Carolina Swarm at Carter -Finley Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Cierre Wood ran 13 times for only 26 yards. Dominic Goodman had 9 catches for 108 yards in the win for the Mammoths.

Shane Carder completed 26 of 36 passes for 266 yards to lead the Swarm who fall to 2-11.

( 7-6)  Washington - 41      ( 5-8)  Portland - 27

Washington, DC:  Dontella Luckett had 6 receptions for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 80 yard catch and run as the Washington Wave defeated the Portland Pioneers 41-27 at RFK Stadium Saturday. He also rushed for a 52 yard touchdown in the win.

Mike Bercovici threw for 276 yards and 2 touchdowns, while completing 14 of 28 passes. Kenneth Dixon ran 13 times for 84 yards and 2 scores. Bernard Pollard led the defense with 11 tackles, 4 pass deflections and a interception for 38 yards.

A. J. McCarron completed 21 of 46 yards for 266 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions. Miguel Maysonett ran 18 times for 101 yards and a score. Allen Burns and Lonnie Pryor each had a touchdown reception in the loss for the Pioneers ( 5-8).

( 5-8) Houston- 24    ( 9-4) New Orleans - 23

Houston, Texas:  Brandon Allen made his first A. F. F. A.  start a good one, as he completed 18 of 30 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown in leading the Houston Wranglers to a 24-23 upset win over the New Orleans Nightmare.

Kapri Bibbs ran for 90 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  Jeremiah Johnson ran 10 times for 35 yards and a score. Jamison Crowell caught 5 passes for 59 yards and a score in the win.

New Orleans was led by quarterback Colby Cameron who threw for 370 yards and 2 touchdowns, while completing 27 of 45 passes.  He threw one interception and sacked twice. Cody Hoffman caught 7 passes for 119 yards. Alex Bayer had 6 receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown. Trey DePriest led the defense with 16 tackles, 1 pass deflection and
a stuff.

Late Game:

( 6-7)  Birmingham - 31    ( 7-6)  Los Angeles - 28

Los Angeles, California: Trevor Harris completed  21 of 30 passes for 293 yards and a touchdown.  Rex Burkhead ran for 120 yards and 2 scores as the Birmingham Predators defeated the Los Angeles Pharaohs 31-28 at the Stub Hub Center Saturday night.
