A.F. F. A. SATURDAY RESULTS ( Week twelve)
( 7-5) New York - 40 ( 6-6) Washington - 24
Brooklyn, New York; Darrin Reaves ran for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 carries to lead the New York Emporers to a 40-24 win over the Washington Wave before a sold out MCU Park Stadium crowd.
The Washington Wave scored first as Mike Bercovici threw a 33 yard touchdown pass to Dontella Luckett with 9: 26 remaining in the first quarter. A Justin Tucker extra point gave the Wave a 7-0 lead.
Lamar Miller got the Emporers on the board running in from 7 yards out early in the second quarter. A Chris Milo extra point tied the score at 7. On the ensuing kick off, J. J. Nelson returned the kick 88 yards for a score. A Justin Tucker extra point gave the Wave a 14-7 lead.
With 8: 13 remaining in the first half, Lamar Miller ran for a 5 yard touchdown completing a 10 play 69 yard drive. A Chris Milo extra point tied it up again 14-14. The Emporers would score twice more, as Darrin Reaves ran for two scores ( 20, 7). New York lead 27-14.
Washington's Justin Tucker kicked a 34 yard field goal as time expired in the first half. New York lead 27-17 at the half.
New York extended their lead with 5: 36 remaining in the third, as Chris Milo booted a 25 yard field goal. New York led 30-17. The Emporers extended their lead to 33-17 as Chris Milo connected on a 50 yard field goal giving the Emporers a 33-17 lead.
With 7: 39 remaining Kenneth Dixon ran in from 6 yards out to pull the Wave within nine at 33-24. New York put the game away with 1: 28 remaining as Melvin White intercepted a pass and returned it 29 yards for a touchdown. New York - 40 Washington -24 Final
Johnny Manziel completed 12 of 21 passes for 141 yards. He was sacked once.
Washington was led by quarterback Mike Bercovici, who completed 20 of 39 passes for 295 yards and 1 touchdown. He threw 3 interceptions and was sacked 3 times. Kenneth Dixon ran for a score while rushing for 29 yards on 5 carries. Dontella Luckett had 6 receptions for 161 yards and a score.
( 5-7) Columbus - 34 ( 7-4) Chicago - 24
Columbus, Ohio; Terrelle Pryor completed 19 of 28 passes for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus ran for 91 yards and a score on 13 carries as the Columbus Explorers defeated the Chicago Stags 34-24.
( 9-3) Dallas - 26 ( 5-7) Memphis - 13
Memphis, Tn; Mike Reilly threw for 350 yards and 2 touchdowns, while completing 29 of 43 passes to lead the Dallas Outlaws past the Memphis Knights 26-13.
Ricky Ray led the Knights completing 13 of 25 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown.
( 5-7) Portland - 31 ( 6-6) Pittsburgh - 17
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Miguel Maysonett ran 30 times for 125 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Portland Pioneers knocked off the Pittsburgh Forge 31-17 at Heinz Field Saturday. Allen Hurns had 7 receptions for 98 yards and a score in the win.
( 9-3) Utah- 16 ( 7-5) Los Angeles - 10
Los Angeles, California; Cierre Wood had 20 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown as the Utah Mammoths tightened their grip on the Pacific Division lead with a 16-10 win over the Los Angeles Pharaohs. Dak Prescott completed 19 of 29 passes for 238 yards in the win. He was sacked twice.
