St.Louis Scouts  (4-1)- 31   Utah Mammoths  (0-5)- 0

St.Louis, Missouri:  St.Louis head coach Les Miles has always been a run first type of coach and this mindset worked well for the Scouts Friday night as a effective ground attack and swarming defense helped the Scouts to a 31-0 shut out of the Utah Mammoths.

Zack Laskey ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries to lead the Scouts.  Robbie Rouse ran for 119 yards and a score. Robert Griffin III threw for 148 yards on 13 of 16 passing, plus ran for a score while rushing for 27 yards on 7 carries.

Utah was led by quarterback Dak Prescott who completed 21 of 30 passes for 179 yards. He threw one interception and was sacked 3 times, but the Mammoths offense was basically ineffective as the Mammoths fall to 0-5. Steve Octavien led the defense with 11 tackles and a stuff.  The Mammoths had no answer for the Scouts run game.

Many feel that Utah head coach Paul Pasqualoni who guided the Mammoths to a division title and Western Conference Championship last season could very well be on the hot seat in Salt Lake City.
