Volcanoes Quarterback Battle Heating Up!





Honolulu, Hawaii:  The quarterback battle between veteran quarterback Zach Collaros and rookie quarterback Taylor Cornelius (Oklahoma State) has been quoted as being neck and neck.

Collaros is the expected starter, but the young quarterback from Oklahoma State is said to be giving him a run for his money.

Reports out of Volcanoes camp is that both quarterbacks have been performing well and that it looks as though Cornelius might have the edge.

Federals Sign Brown









Washington, D.C.:  The Washington Federals have signed wide receiver Antonio Brown to a limited 1.5 million dollar contract.

Mr. Brown agreed to the contract which is full of stipulations late last night. Contract will become nullified if and when Mr. Brown signs with a NFL franchise. Mr. Brown will only receive the full amount of the contract only if he completes the full season with the Federals. No signing bonus was included.

Mr. Brown's agent stated by phone that his client was looking forward to getting onto the field again and has kept himself in top shape.

Mr. Brown could not be reached for comment.

Armadillos sign Peterman













Little Rock, Arkansas:  The Arkansas Armadillos have signed quarterback Nathan Peterman out of the University of Pittsburgh Friday afternoon.

Peterman played for the University of Tennessee before transferring to the University of Pittsburgh his junior year. Peterson finished his college career throwing for 5,236 yards and 47 touchdowns with 17 interceptions.

He was a fifth round pick of the Buffalo Bills in the 2017 NFL draft.

Antonio Brown Allowed To Play!









The AFFA has announced that wide receiver Antonio Brown will be allowed to sign with an AFFA team. The decision came after league owners voted 17 for and 13 against with 2 abstentions.

According to a statement released late yesterday. A team may sign Mr. Brown to a one year deal with some stipulations.

1. If Mr. Brown is signed by a NFL club at anytime, the AFFA contract would become null and void.

2. Any conduct detrimental to the AFFA, criminal or otherwise contract will be revoked.

3. Contract cannot exceed 1.5 million and no lower than 75 thousand. No signing bonus will be allowed.

Mr. Brown's agent or Mr. Brown could not be reached for comment. However, friends close to Antonio Brown say that he is considering the offer, but hasn't committed to any decision.

According to a league official, Antonio Brown's name has been submitted for entrance into the 2020 AFFA draft .
