AUSTIN, TEXAS?

COULD AUSTIN, TEXAS BE GETTING AN AFFA FRANCHISE?

Reports coming from various sources, report that the Arkansas Armadillos are in fact considering relocating to the Texas capital.

While Arkansas team officials have not made a announcement confirming such reports. We can only assume it is speculation.

If reports are accurate, Austin will join Dallas, San Antonio and Houston. Giving Texas a total of four AFFA franchises. Is this a smart move or will it saturate the market in the Lone Star State?

Many experts claim that a move to Austin at this time, may not be in the best interest of the league. Arkansas averaged just under 25,000 fans in 2020.

The Las Vegas Bandits have already announced their intention to move to Seattle.

Possible Relocation!

POSSIBLE RELOCATION!

Las Vegas, Nevada;  The ownership group of the Las Vegas Bandits announced that they have petitioned the league about a relocation to Seattle Washington.

The move comes after attendance at Sam Boyd Stadium didn't meet full expectations. Team officials feel that a move to a larger market will help in attendance and television ratings.

The petition will be voted on by league owners and must get at least 57% approval.  If approved, the Bandits could play in Seattle in 2021. A supposed stadium deal has already been preliminarily worked out.
