WEEK THIRTEEN SUNDAY RESULTS

( 9-4 ) Pittsburgh Ironmen- 45   ( 7-5 ) Virginia Tritons- 42

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania:  Alex Carder completed 38 of 55 passes for 412 yards and 5 touchdowns as the Pittsburgh Ironmen defeated the Virginia Tritons 45-42 Sunday in a game where a total of 939 yards of offense was tallied.

Alec Lemon had 13 receptions for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns. Eric Rogers caught 10 passes for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns. Luke Wilson had 4 receptions for 55 yards and Jeremy Langford had a touchdown reception, catching 2 passes for 13 yards. Cord Parks had 9 tackles and a sack. Mike Edwards had 9 tackles. Jamari Lattimore had a sack to go along with his 5 tackles. Kevin Toliver had 1 interception for 38 yards .Swayze Waters connected on 3 of 3 field goals with a long of 45 yards as the Ironmen inch closer to clinching their third consecutive Atlantic Division title.

Virginia's Mike Bercovici completed 26 of 39 passing for 373 yards and 6 touchdowns with an interception.  Chris Hairston led all rushers with 46 yards on 8 carries.  Chad Owens had 10 receptions for 103 yards and 4 touchdowns. Dontella Luckett caught 9 passes for 191 yards and a score. Kenneth Dixon had a touchdown reception,  catching 3 passes for 17 yards, to go along with his 40 rushing yards on 10 carries.

LaDarius Gunter and Sam Shields each recorded 10 tackles. Devon Kennard had 3 tackles, 2 sacks and a pass deflection. John Ojo had 1 interception for 33 yards as the Virginia Tritons fall to 7-5.

( 7-6 ) Omaha Bulls- 25   ( 11-2 ) Chicago Stags- 24

Omaha, Nebraska:  Rakeem Cato threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, as the Omaha Bulls handed the Chicago Stags their second loss in three games, defeating the Stags 25-24 before a jubilant crowd of 21,433 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha Sunday.

Cato finished completing 13 of 17 passes for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 sack. He also rushed for 71 yards on 7 carries and a score. Trent Richardson had 90 yards rushing and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Mike Thomas caught 4 passes for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns. Da'Ron Brown had 4 catches for 52 yards. Will Hill led the defense with 7 tackles and a pass deflection. Steven Daniels had 5 tackles, 1 sack and 2 pass deflections. Brandon Boykin had 1 interception for 50 yards as the Bulls remained in the playoff hunt at 7-6. Aarion Penton also had an interception for 35 yards.

Chicago's Brandon Doughty completed 21 of 37 passing for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions and sacked 3 times. Alfred Morris ran 14 times for 95 yards. Willie Snead had 9 receptions for 110 yards and a score.  Roger Lewis caught 7 passes for 88 yards and Josh Malone had a touchdown reception.

Kyle Emanuel and Kris Frost each recorded 7 tackles. Zackary Brown had a 19 yard blocked punt return for a touchdown and Donte Paige had a sack as the Great Lakes Division champion Stags fall to 11-2.

( 10-3 ) Albuquerque Aztecs- 17   ( 7-5 ) Houston Roughnecks- 14

Houston, Texas:  Richie Leone kicked a game winning 37 yard field goal with just under a minute to play as the Albuquerque Aztecs defeated the Houston Roughnecks 17-14 at TDECU Stadium Sunday before an estimated crowd of just over 30,000.

Travis Lulay threw for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 of 28 passing with 1 sack. Tim Cornett ran 12 times for 82 yards. Rashad Green caught 4 passes for 88 yards. Brian Parker caught 4 passes for 69 yards. Tommy Shuler had 3 receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown.  William Powell had a touchdown reception, catching 2 passes for 23 yards. Avery Williams recorded 11 tackles. Tre Flowers and Deiontrez Mount each recorded 7 tackles. Adam Bighill had 6 tackles, 1 sack, 1 pass deflection and a hurry as the Aztecs moved to 10-3 and on the verge of clinching their second consecutive Frontier Division title.

Blake Sims completed 27 of 43 passing for 311 yards and a touchdown with 1 sack. Kapri Bibbs had 50 yards on 19 carries. Malcom Brown ran for a score while rushing for 40 yards on 11 carries. Deontay Grey caught 9 passes for 122 yards. Jamison Crowder had 8 receptions for 101 yards. Jason Avant had a touchdown reception, catching 5 passes for 64 yards. Randall Evans and Donte Whitner led the defense with 5 tackles apiece. Odell Willis recorded a sack as Houston fell to 7-5.

( 6-7 ) Memphis HoundDogs- 33   ( 4-8 ) Arkansas Diamond Miners- 10

Little Rock, Arkansas:  Ricky Ray tossed two touchdowns to Marcus Johnson as the Memphis HoundDogs chewed up the Arkansas Diamond Miners 33-10 Sunday before 27,008 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

Ray completed 18 of 27 passing for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was intercepted twice and sacked twice. Cameron Artis Payne ran 20 times for 111 yards.  L'Damian Washington had 7 receptions for 101 yards. Marcus Johnson finished with 4 receptions for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tim Hightower also had a touchdown reception in the win.

Alani Fua had 10 tackles and a sack. Harlan Miller recorded 8 tackles, a pass deflection and a forced fumble. Ethan Westbrook, Devante Brown and Jordan Evans each recorded a sack as the HoundDogs remained mathematically alive for a playoff berth.

Colby Cameron threw for 217 yards and was sacked 4 times on 21 of 34 passing. He also ran 21 times for 68 yards and a score. Cody Hoffman had 10 receptions for 107 yards. Chris Covington had 9 tackles, 2 pass deflections, a stuff and a forced fumble. Antwione Williams recorded 7 tackles and a forced fumble. Justin Cole had a interception for 7 yards.

Rumors are circulating in Little Rock that Diamond Miners head coach Gary Crowton may be on the verge of losing his job as Arkansas dropped to 4-8.

( 9-3 ) Birmingham Beast- 41   ( 8-5 ) Dallas Outlaws- 24

Dallas, Texas:  Trevor Harris completed 20 of 30 passing for 352 yards and 3 touchdowns as the defending Mid South Division champion Birmingham Beast mauled divisional foe Dallas Outlaws 41-24 in a battle of division powers Sunday before a sold out Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas Sunday.

Rex Burkhead rushed for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 carries. Jakeem Grant caught 6 passes for 108 yards and a score. Rashard Higgins had 6 receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown. Casey Pierce caught 3 passes for 82 yards, including a 59 yard touchdown reception. Jamar Wallace recorded 6 tackles and DeAndre Collins added 3 sacks as the Beast moved to 9-3.

Dallas quarterback Mike Reilly completed 16 of 32 passing for 208 yards and a touchdown with 3 sacks, plus ran for a touchdown. Ben Tate ran 15 times for 63 yards and a touchdown. Jasper Collins caught 8 passes for 106 yards. Bud Sasser had 3 receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown. Josh Norman led the Dallas defense with 8 tackles. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo and Brandian Ross each recorded a sack as the Outlaws trip to 8-5.

( 3-9 ) Portland Pioneers- 31   ( 4-8 ) Utah Mammoths- 28

Portland, Oregon:  Brian Bennett threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for another as the Portland Pioneers defeated the Utah Mammoths 31-28 at Providence Park in Portland Sunday night.

Bryan Bennett completed 14 of 29 passes for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns with one interception. He also ran 22 times for 32 yards and a score.  Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 80 yards on 12 carries.  Geremy Davis caught 6 passes for 161 yards. Titus Davis had 3 receptions for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Keevan Lucas had two receptions for 40 yards and a score. Scooby Wright had 10 tackles, a sack and a interception. Christian Lacouture recorded 9 tackles. Brian Poole also recorded a sack in the win.

Chris Streveler completed 16 of 30 passes for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns with an interception and a sack. He also ran for 46 yards on 10 carries.  Devontae Booker rushed for 162 yards and a score on 22 carries. Plus caught 5 passes for 40 yards.  Madison Magnum had 3 receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown.  DeAndre Carter caught 4 passes for 38 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tremon Smith led the Mammoths defense with 6 tackles and a pass deflection.

St. Louis, Missouri:  Robert Griffin III threw for 237 yards and 2 touchdowns while completing 23 of 31 passes as the St. Louis Scouts dismantled the Georgia Generals 34-6 at the Dome at Americas Center in St.Louis Sunday night.

New York, New York:  Drew Willy threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns as the Philadelphia Freedom defeated the New York Empire 24-23 at MCU Park in New York Saturday afternoon.

Willy completed 16 of 26 passes with 1 interception.  Kory Sheets ran 13 times for 84 yards.  Duke Williams had 5 receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown. Fred Stamps caught 3 passes for 91 yards, including a 64 yard touchdown catch. Zane Gonzalez converted on 3 of 3 field goal attempts with a long of 52 yards.  Danny Trevathan recorded 7 tackles, 2 stuffs and 2 forced fumbles. Andrew Hudson and Phillip Hunt each had a sack as the Freedom improved to 5-8.

John Manziel completed 22 of 34 passes for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was sacked twice and rushed for 37 yards on 8 carries for New York.  Ray Graham ran 16 times for 60 yards. Nick O'Leary had 6 catches for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns. Aaron Burbridge caught 4 passes for 75 yards. Knile Davis had 4 receptions for 39 yards and a score.  Jake Ganus recorded 9 tackles. Sharif Finch had a sack as the Empire fall to 5-8.

Columbus, Ohio:  Chuckie Keeton completed 21 of 32 passes for 255 yards and sacked 3 times as the Columbus Aviators slipped by the Michigan Panthers 13-12 at Mapfre Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Eric Breitenstein ran for 67 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Mycole Pruitt had 10 receptions for 106 yards. Austin Franklin caught 5 passes for 81 yards. Jared Abbrederis caught 5 passes for 61 yards. Deion Blue led the defense with 7 tackles.

Michigan quarterback Cody Kessler threw for 106 yards and a touchdown on 13 of 24 passing. Paul Perkins ran 11 times for 66 yards.  Pharoh Cooper had 3 catches for 33 yards and a touchdown. Ted Laurentiis led the defense with 10 tackles, 1 sack, 1 hurry and a forced fumble. Will Compton and Jermauria Rasco  each recorded a sack in the loss.

( 8-5 ) Miami Sharks- 27  ( 4-9 ) Orlando Vipers- 24

Miami, Florida: Tajae Sharp caught 12 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown as the Miami Sharks moved to 8-5 with a 27-24 victory over the Orlando Vipers Saturday at FIU Stadium Saturday.

Zach Collaros completed 17 of 26 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown with 1 interception. Brad Kaaya completed 9 of 18 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown.  David Cobb ran 14 times for 96 yards.  Andy Janovich rushed for 50 yards and a score on 5 carries. Ezell Ruffin caught 7 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. Zach Vigil had 8 tackles and 2 stuffs. Joe Vellano and Winston Guy each recorded a sack. Jonathon Mincy recorded 6 tackles and a interception.

Matt Barkley threw for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception and sacked twice.  Jahad Thomas rushed for 74 yards on 16 carries. Joey Isoefa ran for a score while rushing for 17 yards on 11 carries. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu led the Vipers defense with 9 tackles. Quinton Demps had 8 tackles, 1 pass deflection and a stuff in the loss.

Raleigh, N.C:  Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 441 yards and 4 touchdowns with as the Louisville Thoroughbreds topped the Carolina Breakers 45-31 at Carter Finley Stadium Saturday.

Mitchell finished completing 25 of 37 passing and was sacked 4 times. Corey Grant ran 5 times for 105 yards.  Ray Rice ran 12 times for 52 yards and two touchdowns, plus caught 4 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Spadola had 7 receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown. Josh Stewart caught 8 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown. Cameron Meredith caught 4 passes for 77 yards and a score.  AJ Johnson had 6 tackles, a sack and a hurry.  Ishmaa'lly Kitchen had a sack to go along with 4 tackles, 1 stuff and 3 hurries. Joe Sykes and Cedric Reed also recorded a sack.

Nic Shimonek completed 18 of 24 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked 4 times.  Zach Zenner ran 19 times for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns. Joique Bell ran for a touchdown while rushing for 62 yards on 7 carries. Luke Tasker had 5 receptions for 116 yards and a score. Dustin Keller caught 5 passes for 66 yards for the Breakers. Corey James had 6 tackles and 2 sacks,  while Thomas Keiser had 5 tackles and two sacks for the Breakers defense.

San Antonio, Texas:  Kenneth Farrow ran in from four yards out with 1:18 remaining, to lift the San Antonio Cimarrons to a 28-27 victory over the Oklahoma Gunslingers before 26,111 at the Alamo Dome.

Tajh Boyd completed 24 of 33 passes for 281 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was sacked twice. He also ran 14 times for 34 yards and a score.  De'Anthony Thomas rushed for 65 yards on 9 carries. Kenneth Farrow finished with 15 yards and a touchdown on 7 carries.  Jamaal Jones caught 9 passes for 95 yards. Jack Doyle had 3 receptions for 83 yards. Kadeem Carey caught 5 passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. Adarius Bowman had a touchdown reception, catching 2 passes for 17 yards.

James Rouse led the Cimarrons defense with 6 tackles, 2 sacks and a stuff. Josh Wilson also had a sack, while recording 4 tackles.

Oklahoma quarterback Matt Johnson completed 21 of 31 passes for 291 yards and 2 touchdowns with 3 sacks.  Cyrus Gray ran 10 times for 67 yards. Rajon Neal had a touchdown run, while rushing for 20 yards on 10 carries. Chris Matthews caught 6 passes for 111 yards. Josh Harper caught 6 passes for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Clevan Thomas led the Oklahoma defense with 9 tackles and a pass deflection. Jamaal West and Vincent Taylor each had a sack in the loss.

( 9-4 ) Sacramento Crusaders- 38  ( 7-5 ) Los Angeles Pharoahs- 35

Carson, California:  Trevone Boykin threw for one touchdown and ran for two more in leading the Sacramento Crusaders to a 38-35 win over the Los Angeles Pharoahs in a battle of Pacific Division leaders Saturday night.

Boykin completed 18 of 25 passes for 274 yards and a touchdown with 2 sacks. He also ran 16 times for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Stevan Ridley rushed for 24 yards on 15 carries while also scoring 2 touchdowns.  Austin Hill had 8 receptions for 158 yards and a score. DeMarco Sampson had 6 catches for 79 yards. Jason Trusnik recorded 8 tackles to power the defense. Zack Bowman and Charleston Hughes each recorded a sack as the Crusaders moved to 9-4.

Jeff Driskel led the Pharoahs,  passing for 276 yards and 4 touchdowns while completing  18 of 34 passing. He was sacked once.  Arvell Nelson came in late, completing 1 of 4 passes for 29 yards and a touchdown. He too was sacked once.

Jay Ajayi ran 11 times for 74 yards, plus caught 4 passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Ferguson caught 7 passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Payton had 5 receptions for 67 yards and a score. Mario Alford had a 43 yard touchdown reception and Isaiah Ford had a 50 yard touchdown catch.

Eddie Moten had 8 tackles. Zach Wagemann and Solomon Elimenin had a sack apiece in the loss for Los Angeles who fall to 7-5.

Storrs, Connecticut:  Mike White threw three touchdown passes, while completing 24 of 33 passing to lead the Hartford Sentinels to a 34-23 victory over the Oakland Renegades Friday night at Rentschler Stadium.

Devonta Freeman ran 13 times for 68 yards, plus 6 receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown. Aaron Green ran 10 times for 22 yards and a score. Antwan Goodley had 4 receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. Jamal Robinson caught 4 passes for 68 yards and a score. Kenneth Ackerman recorded 6 tackles, a sack, a hurry and a forced fumble to lead the defense. Parys Haralson and Eric Norwood also recorded a sack for the Sentinels.

Vad Lee powered the Oakland attack,  completing 25 of 38 passing for 367 yards and 2 touchdowns. He threw one interception and was sacked three times. Antonio Andrews ran 12 times for 85 yards.  Keyarris Garrett caught 6 passes for 88 yards.  Gator Hoskins had a touchdown reception while catching 4 passes for 84 yards. Derrick Ross pulled in 3 catches for 53 yards and a score.  Vince Williams led the defense with 9 tackles. Auggie Sanchez had a sack as the Renegades fall to 3-9 on the year.

Hartford kept their playoff hopes alive, improving to 6-7.

A.F.F.A WEEK TWELVE SUNDAY RESULTS

Storrs, Connecticut:  Mike Bercovici threw for 323 yards and two touchdowns as the Virginia Tritons rolled over the Hartford Sentinels 34-6 Sunday at Rentschler Stadium

With 9:13 remaining in the first quarter,  Mike Bercovici threw a 57 yard touchdown pass to Dontella Luckett. Justin Tucker added the extra point giving Virginia a 7-0 lead.  Kenneth Dixon scored on a 7 yard scamper giving the Tritons a 14-0 lead with 4:12 remaining in the first half.  Hartford made it 14-3 as Boris Bede booted a 50 yard field goal with 1:53 remaining in the half.  Virginia answered back as Justin Tucker converted from 52 yards out to end the half.

Halftime:  Virginia- 17  Hartford- 3

Hartford made it 17-6 with 4:14 remaining in the third, as Boris Bede kicked a 40 yard field goal.  With 0:18 left in the third,  Mike Bercovici found Dontella Luckett again, this time from 15 yards out. Virginia now led 24-6.  The Tritons added 10 more as Justin Tucker kicked a 22 yard field goal and Chris Hairston scored on a 4 yard touchdown run.

Final:  Virginia- 34  Hartford- 6

Mike Bercovici completed 20 of 25 passes for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns. He threw 1 interception and was sacked 3 times.  Chris Hairston ran 9 times for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Kenneth Dixon rushed for 45 yards and a score on 11 carries. Dontella Luckett had a monster game catching 9 passes for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns. Chad Owens had 6 receptions for 66 yards. Khalil Bass led the defense with 9 tackles and 2 sacks. David Parry,  Devon Kennard, Reshard Cliett and Leon Orr also recorded a sack apiece.

Hartford quarterback Mike White completed 23 of 39 passes for 161 yards and a interception. He was sacked 6 times.  Aaron Green rushed for 60 yards on 6 carries. Jamal Robinson caught 5 passes for 49 yards. Devonta Freeman and Nick Boyle also had 5 receptions. Jamar Chaney had 8 tackles, while Danny Lansanah, Alfonso Dennard and James Ruffin recorded a sack.

( 11-1 ) Chicago Stags- 27  ( 1-11 )  St. Louis Scouts- 7

St. Louis, Missouri:  The Chicago Stags locked up their third straight Great Lakes Division title and a playoff berth with a convincing 27-7 victory over the St. Louis Scouts Sunday at the Dome at Americas Center. Brandon Doughty threw for 290 yards and a touchdown to lead the 11-1 Stags.

Brandon Doughty connected with Willie Snead for a 19 yard touchdown pass with 4:36 remaining in the first  giving the Stags a 7-0 lead. With 11:03 remaining in the second quarter,  Alfred Morris barreled in from 4 yards out as the Stags moved out to a 14-0 lead. The route was on!  With 9:09 left in the half Kris Frost scooped up a fumble and returned it 65 yards to paydirt. Chicago led 21-0. Nick Pertuit booted 2 field goals ( 44 & 27) stretching the Stags lead to 27-0. St. Louis prevented the shutout with 5:33 remaining as Robert Griffin III tossed a 4 yard touchdown pass to Andy Jones.

Brandon Doughty completed 19 of 29 passes for 290 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked once.  Alfred Morris rushed for 79 yards and a score on 23 carries. Derel Walker had 7 receptions for 109 yards. Willie Snead caught 5 passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Leshaun Sims tallied 9 tackles and a pass deflection. Stansly Maponga recorded 2 sacks and Tyler Matakavich recorded a sack in the win.

Robert Griffin III threw for 190 yards and a touchdown with 2 interceptions on 18 of 32 passing. He was sacked 3 times. RG3 also ran 5 times for 57 yards.  Andy Jones caught 8 passes for 68 yards and a score. Kenbrell Thompkins hauled in 4 passes for 56 yards.  Thomas DeCoud and John Timu each had 7 tackles.  Teddy Jennings recorded a sack in the loss for St. Louis.

Atlanta, Georgia:  Tyler Ervin shredded the Louisville defense for 202 yards rushing and a touchdown, as the Georgia Generals upset the Louisville Thoroughbreds 30-21 at Bobby Dodd Stadium Sunday. Colin Kaepernick completed 11 of 19 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Williams caught 6 passes for 95 yards.  Bo Levi Mitchell completed 17 of 35 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown with 1 interception for Louisville. Ray Rice ran for over a 100 yards himself, rushing for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 carries. Ryan Spadola caught 7 passes for 102 yards and Josh Stewart had a touchdown reception in the loss.

( 3-8 ) Oakland Renegades- 34  ( 4-7 ) Utah Mammoths- 24

Oakland, California:  Antonio Andrews rumbled for 137 yards rushing and a touchdown on 20 carries as the Oakland Renegades defeated the Utah Mammoths at Oakland Alameda Coliseum Sunday evening. Vad Lee completed 18 of 25 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns. Keyarris Garrett caught 6 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown and Gator Hoskins also had a touchdown reception in the win. Utah quarterback Chris Streveler threw for 333 yards and a touchdown to lead Utah.

( 7-4 ) Houston Roughnecks- 24  ( 3-8 ) Philadelphia Freedom- 21

Houston, Texas:  Malcom Brown ran for two touchdowns while rushing for 108 yards and two touchdowns as the Houston Roughnecks kept their playoff hopes alive with a 24-21 victory over the Philadelphia Freedom at TDCEU Stadium Sunday night.  Kapri Bibbs ran 24 times for 106 yards and a score.  Blake Sims threw for 215 yards and was sacked four times. Jamison Crowder had 9 catches for 122 yards in the win.  Drew Willy led Philadelphia  completing 19 of 38 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked four times.

( 5-7 ) San Antonio Cimarrons- 33  ( 4-8 ) Orlando Vipers- 30  ( OT )

Orlando, Florida:  Ka'imi Fairbairn kicked the game winning field goal with sixteen seconds remaining in overtime as the San Antonio Cimarrons defeated the Orlando Vipers 33-30 at Orlando City Stadium Sunday night.  Tajh Boyd completed 28 of 45 passes for 329 yards and 2 touchdowns despite being sacked 6 times. He also ran 18 times for 52 yards scrambling for his life. Jamaal Jones caught 8 passes for 135 yards. KaDeem Carey and Adarius Bowman each had a touchdown reception. Ben Heeney recorded 14 tackles for the defense.  Matt Barkley led Orlando throwing for 299 yards and a touchdown with 1 interception. Jahad Thomas ran 24 times for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns. Isaiah Burse caught 11 passes for 125 yards. Jayon Brown and Matt Judon each recorded 2 sacks for the Vipers defense.

A.F.F.A WEEK TWELVE SATURDAY RESULTS

( 8-4 ) Pittsburgh Ironmen- 41  ( 5-7 ) New York Empire- 13

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania:  Alex Carder threw for 289 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Pittsburgh Ironmen tightened their grip on the Atlantic Division lead with a dominating 41-13 win over Atlantic Division foe New York Empire Saturday at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

The Ironmen jumped on top early as Mike Edwards returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was fumbled as Pittsburgh led 6-0 with 14:52 left in the first quarter.  With 6:34 remaining in the first,  John Manziel tossed a 6 yard touchdown pass to Theo Riddick to give New York a 7-6 lead. At the 1:28 mark, Jeremy Langford ran in from a yard out as the Ironmen retook the lead 13-7.

New York closed the gap to 13-10 with 7:14 left in the second quarter as Chris Milo converted on a 29 yard field. The Ironmen came right back with 6:45 remaining in the second,  as Alex Carder hit Luke Wilson for a 68 yard bomb giving the Ironmen a 20-10 lead.  New York made it 20-13 with 1:15 remaining in the half, as Chris Milo booted a 43 yard field goal.  On the next play however,  Alex Carder hit Eric Rogers for a 52 yard touchdown that stretched the Ironmen lead to 27-13 at the half.

It was all Pittsburgh in the second half as the Ironmen put the game away with two Tyler Gaffney touchdown runs ( 2, 6 ) making the final score  Ironmen- 41  Empire- 13.

Alex Carder finished completing 19 of 27 passes for 289 and two touchdowns. He also ran 6 times for 29 yards.  Tyler Gaffney ran 11 times for 26 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jeremy Langford ran 2 times for 12 yards and a score.  Luke Wilson caught 7 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown,  while Eric Rogers had 4 receptions for 89 yards and a score. Mike Hull lead the Ironmen defensive attack with 8 tackles,  2 stuffs and a forced fumble. Willie Jefferson recorded 5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 stuff and a hurry. Terrance Taylor and Cord Parks each recorded a sack. Jamari Lattimore recorded 2 sacks and a forced fumble as the Ironmen improved to 8-4. Mike Edwards had 148 yards on 3 kick returns including a 92 yarder.

John Manziel completed 20 of 30 passing for 213 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked 5 times. He also ran 9 times for 69 yards.  Ray Graham ran 19 times for 59 yards. Geronimo Allen had 7 receptions for 83 yards. Nick O'Leary had 6 receptions for 78 yards. Theo Riddick had a touchdown reception, catching 2 passes for 9 yards. Jake Ganus led the defense with 11 tackles.

( 8-4 ) Sacramento Crusaders- 31  ( 8-4 ) Dallas Outlaws- 27

Dallas, Texas:  Trevone Boykin threw for 272 yards and ran for a score as the Sacramento Crusaders defeated the Dallas Outlaws 31-27 before a near capacity crowd at Gerald J. Ford Stadium Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Dallas took a 14-0 lead as Mike Reilly threw 2 touchdown passes,  one to Bud Sasser for 3 yards and one to Steve Ishmael for 9 yards.  Sacramento made it 14-3 as Josh Lambo kicked a 35 yard field goal with 8:14 remaining in the first half. With 2:14 remaining in the half,  Storm Woods ran in from 6 yards out . The extra point was fumbled as Dallas led 14-9.  Dallas made it 17-9 as Justin Medlock connected on a 31 yard field goal.

Halftime:  Outlaws- 17  Crusaders- 9

With 10:14 left in the third,  Stevan Ridley scored on a 7 yard touchdown run making the score Dallas- 17  Sacramento- 16.  Justin Medlock pushed Dallas to a 20-16 lead with a 30 yard field goal with 5:40 left in the third.  With 11:28 remaining in the game Mike Reilly hit Phillip Lindsay for a 16 yard touchdown giving the Outlaws a 27-16 lead.

Sacramento closed within three with 9:17 remaining as Trevone Boykin ran in from 12 yards out.  Dallas led 27-24. Then with 5:57 left,  Stevan Ridley ran for his second touchdown powering in from the two giving the Crusaders a 31-27 lead and the win.

Trevone Boykin completed 16 of 26 passes for 272 yards,  plus ran for 54 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Stevan Ridley ran 14 times for 52 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Storm Woods had one carry for 6 yards and a score.  Austin Hill caught 5 passes for 67 yards. DeDe Westbrook had 2 receptions for 82 yards, including a 70 yarder. Brian Rolle recorded 15 tackles,  a sack and 3 stuffs to power the defense.  Tyrone Holmes,  Charleston Hughes and Glenn Foster each had a sack as well in the win.

Mike Reilly completed 23 of 31 passing for 275 yards and 3 touchdowns, he was sacked 4 times.  Akeem Hunt ran 10 times for 90 yards,  plus 5 catches for 42 yards.  Jasper Collins had 8 receptions for 94 yards.  Phillip Lindsay had 5 catches for 91 yards and a touchdown.  Bud Sasser and Steve Ishmael also had touchdown receptions for Dallas.   Vontaez Burfict recorded 8 tackles and 2 stuffs for the defense. Tye Smith had 7 tackles.

Omaha, Nebraska:  Rakeem Cato threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns with 2 sacks as the Omaha Bulls defeated the Columbus Aviators 21-14. Trent Richardson ran 22 times for 92 yards and a touchdown, putting him over the 1000 yard mark.  The Bulls defense sacked Columbus quarterback Chuckie Keeton 6 times. Keeton finished completing 14 of 29 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown. He threw 1 interception.

Raleigh, N.C:  Tajae Sharp caught 13 passes for 157 yards and a score as the Miami Sharks edged the Carolina Breakers 28-24 at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh.  Zach Collaros completed 14 of 22 passes for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns with a sack. Brad Kaaya threw for 96 yards on 9 of 12 passing. Jonathan Gray ran for 105 yards on 6 carries. David Cobb ran for 83 yards and a score on 17 carries for the Sharks.  Zach Zenner ran 23 times for 124 yards and Nic Shimonek completed 21 of 37 passes for 244 yards for Carolina. Memphis quarterback Ricky Ray announced he will retire after the season. Ray completed 27 of 39 passes for 231 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked three times.

Detroit, Michigan:  Travis Lulay completed 30 of 51 passes for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Albuquerque Aztecs to a 29-26 victory over the Michigan Panthers Saturday night at Ford Field in Detroit. Brian Parker caught 6 passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns.  Tommy Shuler had 10 receptions for 98 yards and a score. Rashad Green caught 6 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. Cody Kessler led Michigan, throwing for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns. Paul Perkins ran 15 times for 81 yards and a score as the Panthers fall to 5-7 on the year.

A.F.F.A WEEK TWELVE FRIDAY NIGHT RESULT

( 7-4 ) Los Angeles Pharoahs- 31  ( 2-9 ) Portland Pioneers- 12

Portland, Oregon:  Jeff Driskel completed 17 of 31 passing for 231 yards and three touchdowns as the Los Angeles Pharoahs moved into a tie for first place in the Pacific Division with a resounding 31-12 beatdown of the Portland Pioneers Friday night at Providence Park in Portland.

With 5:44 remaining in the opening quarter,  Jeff Driskel hit Mario Alford for a six yard touchdown pass. The extra point gave the Pharoahs a 7-0 lead. The Pharoahs made it 14-0 early in the second quarter as Driskel once again found Mario Alford, this time from 14  yards out. With 6:32 remaining in the second quarter, Caleb Sturgis made it 17-0 with a 34 yard field goal. Shortly thereafter,  Jeff Driskel threw his third touchdown of the first half, this time connecting with Jay Ajayi from 17 yards out giving the Pharoahs a 24-0 lead.  Portland finally got on the board with forty seconds remaining in the half as John Lunsford connected on a 37 yard field goal, making the score Pharoahs- 24  Pioneers- 3 at the end of the first half.

Los Angeles made it 31-3 early in the third as Jay Ajayi scored on a ten yard touchdown run. The Pioneers made it 31-6 as John Lunsford kicked a 33 yard field with 3:06 remaining in the third. With 3:51 remaining in the contest,  Bryan Bennett tossed a 1 yard touchdown pass to Matt Dayes. The two point conversion failed, making the final score Pharoahs- 31  Portland- 12.

Jay Ajayi finished with 13 carries for 35 yards and a touchdown, plus had a touchdown reception.  Josh Ferguson ran 10 times for 30 yards, plus caught 7 passes for 78 yards. Jordan Payton had 5 catches for 88 yards and Mario Alford caught 3 passes for 36 yards and 2 touchdowns for L.A. in the win. Travis Long led the defense with 9 tackles and a sack. Jeremiah Ledbetter and Chris Randle also recorded a sack.

For Portland,  Bryan Bennett completed 23 of 39 passing for 208 yards and a touchdown. He threw two interceptions and was sacked three times . He also led the Pioneers in rushing with 70 yards on 13 carries.  Ahmad Bradshaw ran 7 times for 52 yards, plus caught 10 passes for 65 yards.  Geremy Davis had 5 receptions for 65 yards and Matt Dayes had a touchdown reception. James Onwualu led the defense with 7 tackles and 3 stuffs as the Pioneers fall to 2-9.

New York, New York:  Devonta Freeman ran for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Hartford Sentinels defeated the New York Empire  27-23 at MCU Park Stadium Sunday afternoon.

Hartford got things started with 11:45 left in the first quarter as Anthony Jordan ran in from 4 yards out to give the Sentinels a 7-0 lead.  Boris Bede gave Hartford a 10-0 lead with a 24 yard field with 5:55 remaining in the first.

New York got on the board with 10:34 remaining in the second quarter as John Manziel hit Nick O'Leary with a 39 yard touchdown pass making the score 10-7 Hartford. With 6:25 left in the second, Boris Bede connected on a 35 yard field goal giving Hartford a 13-7 lead. New York took a 16-13 lead as Chris Milo converted on 3 field goals ( 34, 38, 31 ).

Hartford took back the lead with 1:56 remaining in the third quarter as Devonta Freeman scored on a 4 yard touchdown run, making the score 20-16 Sentinels.  New York came right back with 12:06 remaining as Ray Graham ran for a one yard touchdown, giving New York a 23-20 lead.  Then with 4:56 remaining in the game Devonta Freeman scored his second touchdown of the game with a 12 yard touchdown run giving Hartford a 27-23 lead and ultimately the win.

Hartford quarterback Mike White completed 13 of 22 passes for 167 yards and was sacked four times. Devonta Freeman ran 12 times for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns. Anthony Jordan ran for 34 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Nick Boyle had 6 receptions for 55 yards and Antwan Goodley caught 4 passes for 85 yards.  Kyle Bosworth led the defense with 7 tackles and a stuff.  Eric Norwood recorded 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 stuff,  2 hurries and a forced fumble.  James Ruffin also recorded a sack.

New York Empire quarterback John Manziel completed 20 of 32 passes for 265 yards and 1 touchdown with 1 interception and sacked 3 times. Ray Graham ran 18 times for 38 yards and a score.  Geronimo Allen caught 5 passes for 77 yards and Nick O'Leary had 3 catches for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Jake Ganus led the defense with 9 tackles and a hurry. Sharif Finch recorded 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 stuffs and a forced fumble . Nigel Harris and Troy Apke each recorded a sack in the loss for New York.

( 5-6 ) Columbus Aviators- 19  ( 1-10 ) St. Louis Scouts- 16

Columbus, Ohio:  Chuckie Keeton completed 21 of 32 passes for 255 yards and a touchdown, plus ran 10 times for 54 yards as the Columbus Aviators defeated the St. Louis Scouts 19-16 before a packed house at Mapfre Stadium Sunday.

With 5:53 remaining in the first quarter, Eric Breitenstein scored on a 3 yard touchdown run giving the Aviators a 7-0 lead. Columbus added to their lead as Chuckie Keeton found Austin Franklin for a 38 yard touchdown reception. The extra point was no good as Columbus led 13-0 early in the second quarter.  St. Louis closed the gap to 13-6 after Andy Phillips hit on two field goals ( 37, 44 ).

Columbus stretched their lead to 16-6 as Tommy Frevert converted on a 29 yard field goal with 7:19 remaining in the 3rd stanza. St. Louis answered with 3:33 remaining in the third as Andy Phillips added a 32 yard field goal, making the score 16-9 Columbus. With 4:14 remaining, Tommy Frevert gave the Aviators a 19-9 advantage. St. Louis refused to go away as Robert Griffin III connected with Andy Jones for a 7 yard touchdown pass and catch. But it was too little too late as Columbus hung on for the 19-16 win.

Columbus quarterback Chuckie Keeton completed 21 of 32 passes for 255 yards and a touchdown while being sacked once. He also ran 10 times for 54 yards. Eric Breitenstein ran 17 times for 25 yards and a score. Austin Franklin caught 6 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.  Mycole Pruitt had 8 receptions for 77 yards and Jared Abbrederis had 7 catches for 65 yards. Phillip Stewart recorded 10 tackles, 1 sack and a stuff to lead the Aviators defense. Khalif Mitchell also recorded a sack.

St. Louis quarterback Robert Griffin III completed 19 of 29 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown. He was intercepted once and sacked twice.  Zack Laskey ran 9 times for 78 yards and Robbie Rouse ran 4 times for 61 yards . Andy Jones caught 9 passes for 147 yards and a score.  Clayton Laing led the defense with 10 tackles and 4 stuffs. Taylor Loeffler recorded 8 tackles.

Norfolk, Virginia:  Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 252 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Louisville Thoroughbreds ( 9-2 ) knocked off the Virginia Tritons 49-37 before 19,422 at Dick Price Stadium in Norfolk.

With 8:09 remaining in the first quarter, Bo Levi Mitchell tossed a 40 yard touchdown pass to Josh Stewart giving Louisville a 7-0 lead.  Virginia answered with 2:28 remaining in the first as Mike Bercovici found Dontella Luckett in the endzone for a 8 yard touchdown pass tying the score at 7.

With 8:16 remaining in the second,  Chris Hairston scored on a 4 yard touchdown run giving Virginia a 14-7 lead. It would be short lived however as Bo Levi Mitchell threw two touchdowns ( Ryan Spadola 6 yards,  Ray Rice 5 yards) giving Louisville a 21-14 lead. A 15 yard interception return by Cameron Lawrence and a Bryce Peila 35 yard fumble return for a touchdown made it 35-14 Louisville.

Virginia made it 35-21 as Chris Hairston rumbled in from 21 yards out with 13:42 remaining in the third. Louisville made it 42-21 with 6:33 left in the third as Bo Levi Mitchell hit Josh Stewart for a 15 yard touchdown pass. Virginia added 3 with 8:12 remaining in the contest as Justin Tucker hit from 44 yards out making the score 42-24 Louisville.

Louisville wasn't finished as Ray Rice took it in from 21 yards out giving the Thoroughbreds a 49-24 lead . Virginia added a Mike Bercovici 28 yard touchdown pass to JJ Nelson and a Philip Walker 1 yard touchdown run to make the final score Louisville 49  Virginia- 37.

Little Rock, Arkansas:  Samaje Perine took it in from 7 yards out with 3:44 remaining in the game as the Arkansas Diamond Miners took a 27-20 upset victory over the Dallas Outlaws before 27,870 at War Memorial Stadium.

Arkansas jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two Justin Manton field goals ( 32, 43 ) to end the first quarter.  With 14:52 remaining Dallas took a 7-6 lead as Ben Tate scored on a 5 yard run.  Arkansas answered with 2:14 remaining in the first half as Lorenzo Long plunged in from 4 yards out, giving the Diamond Miners a 13-7 lead. Dallas added a 20 yard Justin Medlock field goal with thirteen seconds remaining in the half making the score 14-13 Diamond Miners.

Dallas started the second half driving 51 yards in 8 plays, culminating in a 39 yard field goal tying the score at 13 apiece. With 6:04 left in the third, Colby Cameron threw a 19 yard touchdown pass to Rannell Hall giving Arkansas back the lead at 20-13. Dallas answered with 10:48 remaining in the game as Mike Reilly connected with Jasper Collins for a 52 yard touchdown pass, once again tying the score. This time at 20 apiece. With 3:44 remaining, Colby Cameron drove the Diamond Miners 57 yards in 10 plays, culminating in a Samaje Perine 7 yard touchdown run  that proved to be the game winner.

Arkansas quarterback Colby Cameron completed 24 of 37 passes for 280 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked once. Cody Hoffman had 7 receptions for 94 yards. Rannell Hall caught 6 passes for 93 yards and a score. The Diamond Miners were held to only 86 yards rushing.  Lorenzo Long and Samaje Perine each had touchdown runs. Ken Fontenette led the defense with 8 tackles and 2 pass deflections. Chuck Clark and Jamaal West each recorded a sack in the win for the Diamond Miners.

Tim Cornett ripped the Oklahoma defense for 135 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns on 26 carries.  Matt Johnson led Oklahoma passing for 384 yards and 3 touchdowns on 23 of 36 passing. He was intercepted once and sacked 3 times.

Carson, California:  Jeff Driskel completed 19 of 28 passing for 307 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Los Angeles Pharoahs improved to 6-4 with a 34-17 win over the Oakland Renegades in a Pacific Division tilt Sunday night. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Alex Carder threw for 370 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Pittsburgh Ironmen defeated crosstown and divisional rival Philadelphia Freedom 29-10 at Talen Energy Stadium in Philadelphia Saturday afternoon.

Pittsburgh got on the board first as Swayze Waters hit on a 34 yard field goal with 7:43 remaining in the first period. Philadelphia answered with four seconds remaining in the first quarter with a Zane Gonzalez 20 yard field goal, tying the score at 3.

Pittsburgh made it 6-3 with a Swayze Waters 20 yard field goal with 6:17 remaining in the half.  Philadelphia took the lead as Drew Willy connected with Scott Orndoff on a 9 yard touchdown pass, making the score 10- 7 Philadelphia.  Pittsburgh added two Swayze Waters field goals to finish the half.  Pittsburgh- 12  Philadelphia-10  Halftime

It was all Ironmen in the second half as Swayze Waters added a 54 yard field goal and Alex Carder threw two touchdown passes, a nine yarder to Eric Rogers and a 45 yarder to Luke Wilson making the final score 29-10 Ironmen.

Detroit, Michigan:  Montee Ball ran for 64 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Michigan ground attack as the Michigan Panthers defeated the Omaha Bulls 34-20 Saturday afternoon at Ford Field in Detroit.

The Panthers ground game made its mark early in the first quarter as Albert Wilson ran in from 24 yards out and Montee Ball scored from 4 yards out.  A Jaden Oberkrom 45 yard field goal made the score Michigan 17  Omaha-0 at the end of one quarter of play.

Montee Ball added his second touchdown on a 12 yard touchdown run with 10:47 in the second quarter.  Paul Perkins ran in from 6 yards out as Michigan stretched their lead to 31-0 with 7:42 remaining in the half.  Omaha got on the board as time expired in the first half, as Rakeem Cato hit Emmanuel Arceneaux for a 30 yard touchdown pass, making the score 31-7 Michigan.

Michigan added a Jaden Oberkrom 49 yard field goal a minute into the fourth quarter, making the score Michigan- 34  Omaha- 7.  Omaha made the score 34-14 as Trent Richardson ran in from 5 yards out with 8:23 remaining.  Omaha finished the scoring as Rakeem Cato tossed a 18 yard touchdown pass to Bralon Addison.  Final :  Michigan- 34  Omaha- 20.

Orlando, Florida:  Jacquizz Rodgers and Zach Zenner combined for three rushing touchdowns as the Carolina Breakers improved to 5-6 with a 34-31 win over the Orlando Vipers at Orlando City Stadium Saturday afternoon before 23,544.

Orlando went up 7-0 with 5:16 remaining in the first quarter, as Jahad Thomas ran for a 17 yard touchdown.  Carolina tied the score at 7 as Jacquizz Rodgers darted in from 17 yards out with 9:50 remaining in the first half.

Carolina took the lead with 1:03 remaining in the first half as Taylor Reed scooped up a fumble and returned it 74 yards for a touchdown. Carolina- 14. Orlando- 7. Blair Walsh made it Carolina-17  Orlando- 7 with a 50 yard field goal early in the third quarter.

Orlando made the score 17-14 as Peyton Barber ran in from 5 yards out with 8:14 remaining in the third quarter.  Carolina extended their lead to 24- 14 as Jacquizz Rodgers ran in from 4 yards out for his second touchdown of the game with 3:39 remaining in the third.

Orlando got a 36 yard field goal for Jared Roberts and Jahad Thomas ran for his second touchdown of the game with a 5 yard run tying the score at 24 with 6:16 remaining. Carolina made it 31-24 with 3:29 remaining as Zach Zenner scored from 5 yards out. Houston, Texas:  Tajh Boyd threw for 199 yards and a touchdown, while De'Anthony Thomas ran for 97 yards and a score as the San Antonio Cimarrons sent the reeling Houston Roughnecks to their fourth consecutive loss with a 30-21 victory at TDECU Stadium in Houston Saturday.

Tajh Boyd started the scoring for San Antonio with a four yard touchdown scamper. The extra point was no good as San Antonio took a 6-0 lead with 11:19 remaining in the first quarter.  San Antonio stretched their lead to 16-0 as Burke Dales kicked a 35 yard field goal and Tajh Boyd threw a 12 yard touchdown pass to Adarius Bowman. It soon became 23-0 as Clayton Geathers recovered a fumble and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown.

Houston got on the board with 1:42 remaining in the first half as Blake Sims connected with Damian Copeland for a 25 yard touchdown pass.  At the half the score stood,  San Antonio- 23  Houston-7.  With 6:01 remaining in the 3rd period,  Kapri Bibbs scampered for a 16 yard touchdown run making the score San Antonio-23  Houston- 14.

Houston closed the gap to two with 1:15 remaining in the third stanza as Blake Sims found Jordan Leslie for a 25 yard touchdown pass, making the score, San Antonio-23  Houston-21.
San Antonio sealed the deal however as De'Anthony Thomas ran in from 7 yards out with 53 seconds remaining , to give San Antonio the 30-21 victory.

Memphis, Tennessee:  Trevor Harris threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns as the Birmingham Beast improved to 8-3 with a 38-20 road victory over the Memphis HoundDogs at the Liberty Bowl Saturday.

Birmingham jumped out to a 10-0 lead after a Sean Whyte 48 yard field goal, and Trevor Harris 24 yard touchdown pass to Rashard Higgins.  Memphis got on the board with 11:13 remaining in the half as Cameron Artis Payne ran in from 8 yards out to make the score 10-7. Birmingham extended their lead to 17-7 as Rex Burkhead scored from 9 yards out.

Memphis made the score 17-14 as Cameron Artis Payne scored his second touchdown of the game with six minutes left in the third quarter.  Birmingham once again extended their lead as Trevor Harris found Paul McRoberts for a 17 yard touchdown pass, making the score Birmingham- 24  Memphis- 14. With 11:55 remaining,  Paul McRoberts returned a punt 47 yards to the house.  Birmingham- 31  Memphis- 14

Sacramento, California:  Bryan Bennett threw for 306 yards and 3 touchdowns, plus ran for 107 yards in leading the Portland Pioneers to their second consecutive victory with a 27-24 overtime win over the Sacramento Crusaders at Hughes Stadium in Sacramento Saturday night.

Trevone Boykin threw a 38 yard touchdown pass to Byron Marshall to give Sacramento a 7-0 lead with 9:09 remaining in the first stanza. Portland tied the score with 4:11 left in the first as Bryan Bennett tossed a 13 yard touchdown pass to Michael Flacco.  Portland made it 14-7 as Bryan Bennett connected with Titus Davis for a 25 yard touchdown with 8:48 left in the first half.

With 8:58 remaining in the third quarter,  Trevone Boykin completed a 15 yard touchdown pass to DeMarco Sampson, tying the score at 14 all. Portland took back the lead as John Lunsford hit on a 21 yard field goal, making the score Portland-17  Sacramento- 14.

Sacramento retook the lead with 11:53 remaining as Trevone Boykin found Marquez North on a 25 yard touchdown pass.  Sacramento- 21  Portland- 17.  Portland came right back as Bryan Bennett tossed a 21 yard touchdown pass to Titus Davis, giving Portland a 24-21 lead with 7:18 remaining.  Sacramento tied it at 24 with 1:24 remaining as Josh Lambo booted a 43 yard field that sent the game to overtime.

Salt Lake City, Utah:  Chris Streveler scored on a 11 yard touchdown run with just over two minutes remaining as the Utah Mammoths stun previously unbeaten Chicago Stags 27-26 before a ecstatic crowd of just over 21,000 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake Saturday night.

Utah quarterback Chris Streveler put Utah up 14-0 after 1 quarter of play with 2 touchdown runs ( 4, 10 ). Chicago got on the board early in the second quarter as Josh Robinson ran in from 7 yards out, making the score Utah- 14  Chicago- 7.  Josh Robinson scored his second touchdown of the night on a 23 yard run. The extra point was fumbled making the score Utah- 14  Chicago- 13.

Chicago took the lead with 9:40 remaining in the third as Brandon Doughty completed a 28 yard touchdown pass to Roger Lewis giving the Stags a 20-14 lead. Chicago extended their lead to 26-14 as Josh Robinson ran in from 2 yards out with 6:14 remaining.  Chris Streveler then found DeAndre Carter for a 42 yard touchdown pass with 2:44 remaining in the contest making the score Sacramento- 26  Utah- 21.  Then after a Chicago turn over on downs, Streveler drove the Mammoths 51 yards down the field before capping it off with his third touchdown run of the night, giving Utah the 27-26 upset win.

Streveler completed 18 of 27 passes for 263 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked 3 times. Streveler also ran 15 times for 76 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Rolly Lumbala ran 17 times for 84 yards. Madison Magnum caught 6 passes for 75 yards. DeAndre Carter had 5 catches for 107 yards and a score. Arthur Maulet led the defense with 11 tackles. Luke Rhodes recorded a sack.

Chicago was led by Brandon Doughty who completed 20 of 33 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown. He threw 2 interceptions and was sacked once.  Josh Robinson was a monster, rushing for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns on 24 carries. Willie Snead had 6 receptions for 149 yards. Roger Lewis caught 8 passes for 118 yards and a score. Donte Paige, Jeremiah Ratliff and Stansly Maponga each recorded a sack on defense.

Miami, Florida:  Tajae Sharp caught 9 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown as the Miami Sharks defeated the Georgia Generals 30-20 at FIU Stadium in Miami Friday night.  Zach Collaros threw for 162 yards and a score with one interception. The Sharks sacked Georgia quarterback Colin Kaepernick five times as Miami moved to 6-5 overall.  Georgia dropped to 4-7.
