Houston, Texas; Kapri Bibbs ran for 3 touchdowns as the Houston Wranglers defeated the Arizona Scorpions 24-15 before 21,000 at TDECU stadium Friday night.
Bibbs finished the night rushing for 158 yards on 22 carries. Deontay Grey caught 3 passes for 42 yards. Vince Young completed 12 of 20 passes for 128 yards, plus ran for 63 yards on 7 carries.
Travis Lulay led the Scorpions completing 23 of 39 passes for 310 yards and one touchdown with two sacks. Tim Cornett ran 13 times for 32 yards. Ray Graham ran 10 times for 58 yards. Rashad Greene caught 8 passes for 146 yards and 1 touchdown. Geno Hayes led the Scorpions defense with 12 tackles.
Jared Norris led the Wranglers defense with 7 tackles, 2 pass deflections and a stuff. Chris Jones had 6 tackles with 1 sack, 1 pass deflection, 1 stuff and 1 hurry.
Wranglers improve to 3-6. Scorpions fall to 2-7.
