Chicago, Il; Jay Ajayi ran in from 16 yards out for a first quarter touchdown as the Los Angeles Pharaohs defeated the Chicago Stags 30-20, before 27,500 at Soldier field Friday night. Ajayi finished the night with 97 yards and a score on 13 carries.
Terrell Watson aided in the Pharaohs ground attack with 12 carries for 79 yards and 2 scores. Pharaohs quarterback Jeff Driskell completed 17 of 38 passes with 1 interception. Eric Ward caught 5 passes for 50 yards.
Chicago quarterback Brandon Doughty threw for 236 yards with 2 interceptions, while completing 22 of 40 passes. He was sacked twice. Marcus Murphy ran 13 times for 47 yards, plus a 66 yard punt return for a touchdown. Dominique Brown ran for a score while rushing for 47 yards on 6 carries. Roger Lewis had 7 catches for 70 yards for the Stags who lose their second straight fall to 1-2. LA improves to 2-1.
