Washington, DC: Marquise Williams completed 17 of 27 passes for 243 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Washington Wave ( 5-3 ) win their third straight as they defeat the Louisville Cougars ( 4-3 ) 39-27 before 29,277 at RFK Memorial Stadium Friday night.
Jalen Richard rushed for 56 yards on 11 carries. Rodney Anderson ran for a touchdown, rushing for 34 yards on 12 carries. James O'Shaughnessy caught 5 passes for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jeff Janis had 4 catches for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Armond Watts had a sack, a forced fumble and 5 tackles. Chris Randle had a 45 yard interception return for a touchdown in the win.
Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 313 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception on 17 of 27 passing for Louisville.
Kenbrell Thompkins caught 2 passes for 84 yards including a 67 yard touchdown reception. Brandon Banks had a 44 yard touchdown reception.
Carlos Watkins had a sack and 9 tackles. Jeff Knox Jr. had a sack and 5 tackles. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo recorded a sack and 5 tackles in the loss for Louisville.
